Honestly, I am the most experienced (Ned Flanders in second) member of this forum - and the most active - in ToEE forum, but whether I'd qualify as a capable moderator for that forum (mainly in the areas of judgement and time to commit for mod responsibilities) is in question. If any mod could tell me about how much time is needed for moderating such a forum, PLEASE tell.

Actually - that is pretty impossible to say. It is very different how much time is neasecary, from sub-forum to sub-forum and moderator to moderator. Normally - however - I would think the gamerelated sub-forums are more time consuming then for instance SYM (belive it or not ), because the users of SYM are on average much more experienced in the usage of GB and accepting of rules.

It isn't in my opinion a very time consuming task to be moderator, however you will get in the line of fire from disgruntled people occsionally - and then it can suck your time like a drain.

I would say that most active users could, from a time-perspective viewpoint, function as a moderator.

Yeah, but then again law enforcement have more dangerous jobs when it comes to "being under fire." Me, I'm on this board at least once a day, so maybe I could possibly cut it. *scratches his bearded chin in contemplation*

Well -as the recent "incidents" show you have to deal with some pretty wierd/sick people on occasions....

So it isn't really the time aspect that makes "moderator work" difficult/hard

Post I was just wondering...

Well, I sent an email to Buck about a week ago about volunteering as a mod. Any idea if he read it?

Try resending it - or PMing him.

There is a lot of spam via the gamebanshee accounts, so possible it "drowned" in the masses.

Sorry Galuf, I don't recall seeing an email from you. Feel free to shoot me another one and we'll get you set up.

Oh. Well... I sent you a PM that pretty much says the same thing as the email, then. Please check it at your convenience.
