| | Yeah, you can't really justify having some cameo by a really important person from the literature, but there's probably plenty of other roles that could be filled. E.g. local guides, merchants, town mayors, anyone with a plot connection.
I'm going to write out some points for a character bio. and flesh it out later...
- Aasimar are part celestial I now understand.
- I'm thinking the human parent (Kylath) may have done some heroic deed, fighting a dragon threatening a town or something but was mortally wounded in the process.
- The celestial, acting in essence as a guardian angel, was watching this and couldn't bear to see the hero die after facing such odds selflessly.
- The 'angel' - Rhilassa (non pure-blooded celestial- maybe 1/2) attempted to heal the hero without revealing herself, but to no avail and the celestial couldn't bear to leave the hero.
- They grew to love each other, although they were unable to spend that much time in each other's company, due to the obvious problems of a celestial being seen on the Prime or a Human in the Upper Planes.
- Despite all these problems they decided to have a child. A beautiful baby boy who was named Sh'rarn (Son of Light). Aww!
- However the celestial's boss/ commander type (probably a Solar or Planetar), found out about this and forbade her from visiting or communicating with the human, leaving her son on the Prime. For all intents and purposes she had abandoned the human and her new-born son.
- The human never gave up hope of seeing his true love again, but gradually began to grow bitter and self-recriminating. In his worse fits of rage, he blamed his son for these troubles not knowing the true cause.
- One of these event likely drove the son away, though he didn't truly blame his father. He did want to see his mother again, despite the low odds of such a thing ever happening. - While on the road he met some Ilmaterians and was impressed by their selflessness.
- He followed them into a city and saw their good deeds, talked to the high priest and asked how he could help.
- The priest suggested he could become a divine stalwart of the faith, a Ilmaterian Paladin, working on their behalf to take the suffering of others.
OR - Sh'rarn comes across a battle and paladins overlooking it from a clifftop. Human versus something goblinoid.
- He saw the good work the Red Knights are doing. Protecting the common footsoldier from death and wants to do more to spread the cause of a relatively unknown faith...
And that's pretty much it.

Oh, and Kron is from a respected house (accounts for the fear and the dragon breeding), just that he is kinda disgraced, though not completely... if that's possible. |

The overwhelming desire to rise in a city's hierarchy could certainly explain such a move. E.g. Gromph Baenre is allowed latitude despit his disrespect for Lolth on many occasions due to his power and position.
Perhaps Lolth's recent disappearance provided an opportunity.

| | Sounds fine for me.
As I say, I'm not into Drow affairs... so I'm happy that you can pick up on story flaws, because I'd like it to be accurate.
By the way, top work on the name, I'm going to remember that name for future things , thanks.
EDIT: Kythras could you please let me know how to find out how much gold I receive to start with. I would pm you, but for some reason that is down. Thanks in advance.

| | umm, well you are a ... sorcerer, so you get... 3d4x10 gold pieces. So, roll a d4 3 times and multiply the result by 10 ( Rav didn't get it) |

| | Ooh! Another Brit! We have to let Yepi join, just due to that...
I'm not sure when exactly we're going to begin, but I'm not against any new people joining. Kipi and I did discuss the posssibility of letting new people join after we began, but I don't know how much that is still applicable.
Anyway you should choose a class and roll some stats for that class. Classes - Select from the Base Classes list. Have a look through the descriptions and see which you like the best. Rolling Statistics- Look for the dice with 6 on the front and in the column under the '#' symbol enter 4. Then click the picture of the dice 6 times to roll it 6 times.
You should get results that look like this:
4d6+0
4,3,4,2+0 = 13
You should take the lowest number out (ignoring the +0), to leave you with one of your statistics. In the example above, you would take out the 2 leaving a result of 11.
Do this for each of the 6 rolls.
Hopefully that won't scare Yepi off...

| | | Well this is what i got when i rolled the die 6 times. My character class is a Fighter since it is usually the easiest charcter to start with! After i got the below results, could you please explain one more time, without killing me or flaming how i use the below results to calculate a statistic
1d6+0
2+0 = 2
1d6+0
3+0 = 3
1d6+0
5+0 = 5
1d6+0
1+0 = 1
1d6+0
6+0 = 6
1d6+0
1+0 = 1 |

| Sure.
You rolled 1d6's. For this you need 4d6's. You just put a 4 in the column headed by the # symbol next to the dice with the 6 on the front.
That will then mean you are rolling 4 dice with 6 faces at the same time (It's quicker than doing it 1 die at a time). |
