Eh, that was CHAOTIC!
..the game thread i mean. Ok, next time would also post some contingency as suggested by Ravager. Wouldn't make sense for an unconcious cleric to make a to-hit roll

Well, hopefully you're not really as 'violent' in real life

But in gaming/DnD sense, i think we can fit in all kind of different character in its vast world. Of course your character can also learn from experience/advice, but IMO you should still role-play it as close as how you'd really enjoyed role-playing it in the first place...just stay true to it

As in good?
Oh, if you were knocked unconcious I could deal with that, your character would just stop doing anything.
It's other situations like when someone else needs healing or a type of spell that you could reverse pops up, that kind of thing.

To answer your spell question in the game thread:
Your 1st level cleric receives 3 0-level spells (so those could be Cure Minor Wounds), 1 first level (plus another because of your Wisdom) and a domain spell from Good (1st level) or Healing. ANY of your normal spells (not including domain, though your Healing Domain has those spells) can be swapped out whenever you want for a healing spell of that level.
Normally, as you can swap out spells for healing it's a good idea not to memorise any healing spells, you can get those at a moment's notice (you just choose which memorised spell you're replacing).
Other people can use the Heal skill to stabilise any dying person though it won't be as good as a healing spell. For people using those skills roll a 1d20 plus any bonus if you've put any points into the skill.

Yeah, the kind of contigencies for clerics are 'Use Cure [level] Wounds when party member reaches 1/4 health' etc.

That way, you should help the rest of us.

Meanwhile, the rest of us have to run away, but just a question, are there bonuses for attacking monsters if you run away?

Normally there would be, but Kipi didn't want to include Attacks of Opportunity and seeing as you post attacks by 5 rounds it's not really feasible.
Of course, the attacking monsters can still chase you if they wish...

Can we also post in the attack order, 'attack closest enemy', or 'attack enemy which attacks me', or do we have to hope for the best?

You could give an attack (likew you do now with you choosing an enemy) and then say if you're being attacked, switch targets to that enemy instead - something like that.
That's probably the best way of operating it.

Update - I've created a journal/biography thread. Hope I got all the biographies in there. You can write journals for your characters in there if you want to.
At the moment, even though Kron, Halgrath and Sess are not involved in the current quest, I'll still give experience and any treasure to the whole party. It's only going to be a short diversion from the main quest, hopefully there will be a chance to have this kind of session (more real-time than the post something, wait for everyone to respond system) with everyone at some point. Maybe individually, preferably with a group of you.

@DJV, I looked at your character sheet, here's what you need:

Your speed is 30 (it's on here http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/sp/20040213a)
Base Attack is 0
Attack is your melee and ranged - melee is your STR bonus (if you have one), ranged is your DEX bonus
Full Attack is the same as Attack

Damage is 1d8 for your crossbow.

Rav,

I remember now when i was playing a little bit of Neverwinter Night (never got to finish it ), there is this fine NWN guide that i used for reference. The link is:

http://home.comcast.net/~bretwd/SR_NWN_Home.htm

I know it's not as extensive as what a real Player's Handbook can be since it's only for NWN, but i think i can make quick reference/refreshing from it. What do you think?

*wanders in* Since I'm awake, and you're still here, and I'm bored spitless, I figured I'd put my two cents in. I hope you don't mind.

The NWN system butchered the game to fit the game engine and to make gameplay smoother for a video game. Using a NWN guide for a PnP DnD game isn't a very good idea, as you would simply be relearning one set of rules which would have a lot of incorrect ways of doing things. Going from NWN to DnD is probably the easiest way to introduce yourself to the PnP game, however, the rules were changed for it, and studying the first would make truly understanding the latter very hard.

I would suggest http://www.d20srd.org/ as the place to seek information, it isn't perfect, however it does happen to involve more books than the standard Player's Handbook, including the DM Guide, Unearthed Arcana and the Psionics Handbook. It may be daunting to get into, but it is a good free source. I'll offer my help if it's wanted as well, as I offered to help Kipi before my computer went down.

*nods*

I know that I am using the d20.org site frequently, and I think Rav might be referring to it, and I know from my experiences that has what you want.

It has everything, even the handy die roller, so I'd say just stick for that.

Also, you run the risk of having outdated rules, an extreme example of this is using BG2, which was 2.0 rules, if I remember correctly.

I appreciate all the feedback, DJ and Magrus. Although, to clarify i am also using the d20.org reference at the same time. It's just that there are some explanations that i can't find from d20.org....that's why i am still referring to some tables & explanations from ShadeRavens...

Agree with its limitations, as with simplifying DnD rules for the benefit of the game rules. But i do come (and trying to make the transition) from such a faulty system, and i admit i'm finding it sometimes rather an enormous task
