But yeah, it looks to me like slade isn't taking this seriously *pounds fist*

On the other hand it could just be a frightening coincidence...

But i doubt it!

I would prefer slade chose a different diety (otherwise there could be character conflicts of interest, that kind of thing

) but am othewise happy enough there's another Aasimar Paladin in the game. Paladins are after all the Aasimar's class of choice.

@Kythras, it's possible he's new to D&D and just used a character class and some of the ideas as a template. Anyway, Paladins can definitely be very different from each other. I doubt mine's going to be the cliche.

Slade, the following is not to be meant as offense, so please don't take it as such.

As Kythras pointed out, your character is somewhat a copy of Sh'rarn, the character of Ravager. Is this just coincident, or have you used Rav's character as model while creating?
As Kythras also pointed in her post, or it can at least read from there between lines, there is no point to make two more or less similiar characters. That would ruin the enthuasism, unless the whole group consist such characters, which our party is not. Your character just won't fit in the party, due the similiarity with Sh'rarn.

Also, I must confess, that I wasn't sure at the beginning if I should allow you to join the campaign. The reason is NOT personal, or anything such, but just the thing that before you, we had already five players, plus NPC controlled by me and making the sixth member of the group. My campaign is basically balanced to 5-6 characters, but I eventually decided that you can join, it won't make that much difference if we have 6 or 7 players.

So, I'm not saying that you are not allowed to stay in our campaign, far from it. But I would request that, to be allowed to keep yourself with our campaign, you make little more effort. Take a look of the character sheets in the Character sheet/files -thread. There you can see how well others have used the possibilities and diversity the world of D&D allows. So, instead of creating another Aasimar Palladin, I would hope you try to make character more personal.

At this point, I would make this clear to everybody:
While this game is more or less process of learning, to me and to most of you too, I would still hope that [everybody] is serious when we have those sessions. If you aren't, then there is possibility that the whole thing will collapse, it being more likek chatting place that game. There is other threads for that, including this one, where you can discuss Out of Character, where you can get familiar with each other and so on. But, I would be happy if everybody will be serious while playing, no doing stupid things that ruins the game for those who actually try to be serious, or keep talking OOC all the time during sessions.

I know the above may not, and I even hope it won't happen, but I still saw it important enough to mention at this point.

I didnt realize that Kythras' char is a ranger

! Even though she is teifling and Im a half-elve I will change my char's class if the DM should wish.

Hope you guys don't mind me high-jacking the thread, I've been reading with much interest since it started. Would have liked to join but not sure if I could find the time.

If you wanna change from a ranger (maybe 2 rangers is a bit much) then I would suggest maybe a rogue. Can still creep around like a ranger and can be not bad fighters (especially sneak attacking, and feinting), but also gains some skills usefull to the group such as trap finding and disarming, although this depends on the campain Kipi has planned for you.

I was working on a halfling rogue with the idea for this campain, a sort of covert intelligence gatherer. I could post it as an example if you liked.
