I think I might start a thread as a prologue to the campaign - it'd be dialogue based. Could be used as part of the explanation why characters managed to get a boat to Sterwick.
And it might keep Kythras happy to have a chance to roleplay Twaynith early.
During the campaign it could possibly be used as a place for character dialogue when we're not playing the campaign. | Good idea, but I'm not going to DM it, maybe just read it at times and participiate it with my NPC...
But not bad idea, not at all

| | Hmm, I'll probably start tonight.
I was looking at the 'Red Knight' details- my paladin's deity and it seems they get some special abilities. I was wondering if I could use any of them.
The list is on this page: http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Cham...ed-Knight.html
It seems to follow some different rules to the 3.5 set, but they're still based on powers/abilities connected to the diety. Quote:
Immunity to confusion: The priest is immune to the effects of confusion and feeblemind spells and spell like affects.
Detect weakness: The priest can detect the weaknesses and vulnerabilities of others. This ability requires two rounds of studying to determine the weakness. The priest can be involved in combat while doing this but suffers a +1 penalty to armor class until the weakness is determined. The priest then gains a +2 to hit and +2 damage on that opponent. If any vulnerabilities exist that the priest would normally not know of they too are determined (such as a ghouls vulnerability to protection from evil spells, brown molds vulnerability to cold, etc...)
| Perhaps these abilities? Even if I have to sacrifice some skill points or my feat to get it? |

| | You want a summary?
Most of the preparation seems to be done now and Kipi's copied over the characters and most of the biographies. I'll hopefully start a thread for character dialogue too. EDIT: The dialogue thread is started. If anyone wants to begin writing in it, feel free. I probably won't get the chance until at least tomorrow evening, besides I work better with something to start from.

I wonder how easy it is to get past a stack of guards, mages and the rest of them, reach the buffet, and get drunk before receiving fifty arrows in my back?
But it all sounds good, I'm still not sure whether I'm doing another bio-like thingy, but I can't wait for it to start.
Make sure you let us know the times for us to be here, with this many people, it would be a shame to have one person miss. |

| | So, now I think it would be good time to decide our first session
Anyone gots some ideas?
This weekend is VERY bad for me, so no game this week
Next week, well during week I wont be able to take part, except Tuesday, when I have only two hours of studying at morning.
Again, the week after it, week number 42, is partially good for me, again Tuesday should be ok, and Saturday and Sunday are also good. But not Saturday morning, I wont be alive then .
So, anyone wants to suggest time?

| | The problem is that mornings will be the best time (at least our mornings Kipi). I'm free on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays during the day and should be most evenings too. Quote: |
1) Rumors have spread that there is large army of Orcs camping near the city of Isthiar, planning to conquer the whole island from humans. Humans, elves and dwarves have tried to chase that army away by themselves, but because there are some different opinions between those three races, they haven't allied, so they haven't succeed of driving orcs away.
| A good cause for a Paladin to get involved in....

| | @Kipi, You missed ou the 1st part of my bio when copying it over!
Oh and the map didn't work for me, I sownloaded the ZIP, tried to open the .jpg and it said 'Couldn't determine type'. And it didn't work either from WinZip or once extracted.
Don't know why, it should have opened under the default program - Microsoft Photo Editor I think. I'm guessing it's something to do with the file itself?
EDIT: It didn't work with Paint or Internet Explorer either so it's probably not the programs.

| | Hi everyone,
Sorry i've been away a few days. I will get my phone line fixed in 2, 3 days time so i'll be able to logon at nite... though it is only dial-up for now...
Thanks Magrus for a lot of your explanation. Thanks also Ravager for the deity info. Tempus' alignment doesn't go well with Halgrath's, but i've found a match in Lathander
...ok, so probably i'll have to change a bit his bio/history. Maybe Halgrath decide to venture out from his nomadic barbaric tribe as he doesn't fit in the ways of Tempus. He desires something new, something different from the old ways of his ppl....
About his equipment, I've rolled 110 gp. Usually in IWD, BG & Torment etc, i've only need to buy armor and a weapon. Is there any oter particular piece of equipment suitable for our campaign?
Thanks...have a nice day all! |

...to cut the long 'lost' story short, the above would be a great reason for a young Lathander priest to make his mark <sigh>

They're not completely essential, but should be useful. |

| | | Okay, so it seems that everybody has problems with the map file. I will see what I can do for it.
