Soulforge feed back

The hunt for Sethin continues within the arid lands of the south. Virrilis, Ferchen and Rail search the dry city of Calimshan, combing it for clues and hitns towards the mysterious doppleganger, Sethin. Each bit of information helps little, but nothing will stop their goal to bring the creature to justice. The only problem is, will Virrilis' mind hold up against the defilement of his soul, or will the pressure build to dangerous levels? Will the love of a human woman, and the friendship of a dark man be enough to keep him from the brink?

Far off, the once blissful wife of the Archmagi, Magus, continues to fervantly quest for her husband. Accompanied by the powerful Hakeashae, Void, Aerie has found a strong clue to the wherabouts of Magus. A small, ebon orb, which has an immense power emmaniting from it. Will it be the key to returning her husband to her side, or will it only cause her to be dismayed?

Okay, feel free to make comments, advice, and other such things here. I'll try and write as often as I can for this story, but considering I also still have to finish 'Soldier's Pride' it might be difficult, as well as my participation in the other story we're doing.

I've had aspirations to write this for some time, though, and with this wave of creativity I got lately, I figured now is as good a time as any, so, here we are.

Ah, good old Void. Looks like I'm going to have to read up on Athkatla II, to get all the details straight again. Though what I wrote back then might not have been my best writing, it was sure some of the most creative writing I've ever done. But then again, I had the pleasure and inspiration of working with some very fine writers.

Now if Rail would just show his elusive face around here, we'd have it made.

Just don't let it get in the way or writing for the story.

Haven't had a chance to read it yet but I'll read it when I get the chance.

No problem. My first priority is Vengeance of the Heart, of course, since I started that first. But I'll post for this one as much as time and having a life other than writing allows.

Same with me. Vengence will be my first priority, everything else will be done as I feel the desire to.

@Aegis: There. I felt like writing today, so since you've been stalling in Vengeance I thought I'd get something up here. Considering the time I funneled into the post, I'm rather satisfied with it. Just don't expect another one any time soon. I basically killed an entire afternoon and evening writing it...enjoy.

@all: As Aegis said, feel free to post your comments here. In fact, I'd like to extend that to "please post your comments here." I'm always out to improve my writing, and since I'm only writing with Aegis here (and pretty independently at this point), this allows me a special freedom to write without restrictions and worrying about getting behind and such.

So please post your reactions, praise, criticism, advice, or whatever's on your mind. And I'm sure Aegis would appreciate it if you did the same for him.

It wouldn't be right finishing the trilogy without you Magus. I'm still trying to get a hold of Rail, but no such luck yet.

Anyway, it'll work perfectly. Every now and then, you can input Aerie's quest, while I focus on Virrilis, Sethin and Rail's end of it all.

It won't be until later that I want to reunite them, so plenty of time, especially considering how often I write in this one.

Signing off...

Sorry. I couldn't resist.

What can I say about what you guys are writing here?
Nothing, its excellent. You two (and Rail if he ever comes back) are great writers.

Hmm...there's something that perhaps readers of Vengeance of the Heart should know. The 'Magus' of Vengeance of the Heart is a modification of the character 'Magus' I roleplayed in the Athkatla series (and who Aerie is searching for in Soulforge). As such, they're not connected, even if their personalities are similar. Something to keep in mind, maybe.

@Rob-hin: I tend to avoid it, but every now and then the whim strikes me.
