If you want to be a tank, that's cool, but if there is something else that interests you more than go with that
As far as types of tanks go, it occurs to me that a barbarian would be an interesting choice  But again, it's entirely up to you.

I went ahead and wrote in a town. I figure its a few days to the northwest of Tethyr, I needed a town to unload my damned caravan, and I figured everyone might want a local inn or tavern at some point.

quirks are fine, as we've said, you don't need to follow any set of rules too closely, just concentrate on enjoying the writing and creating your character's personality.

I like quirks, my character has a few I'll put in over time which I've thought of. It makes things interesting.

I figured, I'd simply subscribe to certain threads so they'd get my attention if I was busy doing something. It's useless as checking my email. I've been bombed with hundreds of emails the past two weeks.  If I'm writing, or playing a game though, the little sound goes off and I can decide whether to check or not. I should turn the thing off while I'm sleeping I think though.
I got a decent amount of sleep for once though so it's fine, got to write more and what not.
So, have you gotten the kind of response you and BS were expecting with this as of yet?

I think it's great that some of the original members of the Dark Flames (ie- BS and T'lainya) are posting, and that more people can carry the torch besides DW. It really adds continuity.

Actually... I think both BS and I are overwhelmed by the response. We weren't at all sure how much interest this would draw. You guys have all been awesome!

Anyway, I might well have some leisure time for writing over the summer, so once I've read the posts that are there, I'll start thinking about a character for some kind of contribution. I might keep my old character, more likely start with a fresh one though.
