| | Just letting people know that due to my schedule, I haven't had time to post much of anything, let alone in the story. Just letting people know I ain't dead yet, and will try to get back into things sometime this week. At least I don't have too much to catch up on

No, I don't mean a demonstration of how many tavern wenches your character can bed in an evening, nor do I mean a display of fighting prowess  
But maybe some sort of memory that adds history and depth to your character, such as his relationship with his master/trainer. An especially difficult lesson, that kind of thing.

Ned had a great idea - that because of its master it has major trouble attacking non-humans. The character will have to learn this the hard way, hopefully in a future post.
That got me thinking of ways to make the weapon not so feasible all the time. What if the axe 'eats' the spirit of its master? Obviously Erudish wouldn't know this, but each time he holds it, more of himself gets 'put' into the axe, until eventually he's completely 'swallowed' by it. The weapon slowly gains the characteristics of its 'eaten' owners.
Examples: the axe is well honed because it took a well-trained fighter. The axe is telepathic because it took a barbarian seer. It's balanced because it took a mentally stable warrior. It can cut through bone easily because it ate an exceptionally strong fighter. If Erudish does get eaten, the weapon does more damage/hunts for humans. Maybe the owner before (the dwarf) Erudish hunted dragons, so the weapon damages them slightly more.
A whole history of unfortunate characters trapped in the axe could explain mysterious features that could be 'unlocked'. Why anyone would craft such a cursed weapon is beyond me let alone who, any ideas?
