I suppose it doesn't help I'm spamming up a thread in which earlier I found it imperative to post something meaningful. I wonder how many people will read about the kukri and leather armor? Hey, it's like pseudo-bumping my previous post.

I know plus all the ideas about the character sheet thread got buried

| | | I think we're just starting a new thread but it is up for discussion.
There seems to be a trend developing of me writing posts and things going awry with my computer, although this time it was due a massive thunderstorm knocking out the power.
Either way, I'm shutting them all down right now until this passes. I was lucky enough for everything at home to fire right up, i'll not chance it again.

| | @AC...did you get my PM's BTW? Just need to get some thoughts on the whole 'getting together with the party' sort of thing.
@Ned...Yes, in fact, the axe is related to the talking sword in BG2. Only this is the more violent, more aloof brother. Every strike is a different ride for it . Oh and I loved Insurrection as well. In fact I've loved every book I've read in that series...I've never thought about Drow the same way. I also loved seeing some Duregar kick some Drow butt.

| | Whenever you all start up the thread, I'll post info on mine. Sorry, I've been busy writing up 2 game campaigns and playing 3 others lately, plus administering a new website and learning all the stuff to it. It's a good amount of stuff to work on. I'll get to posting something soon.

With a different author for each book, the continuity of each characters personality was pretty tight. They've also did a great job of developing a plot line for each of the seven protagonists. They were all vital to the story. Valas is definitely an influence on my pharis character.
You enjoying the duergar makes sense with your reference to ched nasad burning away.

Seeing as there are almost ten people involved in this story, I, for one, will more than likely mix things up should we all get together later in the story. Furthermore, writing becomes easier when you know someone's class, abilities, hair and eye colour, etc. Saves me the trouble of pm'ing every single one of you.

| | @Ned- nicely done! The dialogue between the sword and the character is a little confusing on first read though..
@Mag- nice post! A little bit of plot advancement

| | | Well, yeah, I thought that might be the case. But I guess you figured out the blade thinks in bold and Pharis thinks italicized. Perhaps I'll add a bit more editing

| | Nice posts everyone
@Ned...I've only gotten up to Extinction and each book is better then the last IMO. Yeah each of the characters really has a distinct flavour...I love it. And who wouldn't want to have a character influenced by Valas...those Kukris are wicked. I'm wondering though, who's the woman Erudish is looking for?
@Mag, Cuch...Now that both your characters have seen mine in a vision, it'll be really interesting to see how they react when they meet in person. Really cool stuff.
As for Black Orcs, they were written about in the book Fury in the Wastelands: The Orcs of Tellene. I haven't read it yet but I want to get ahold of a copy. I got the gist of them from this quote from a review off RPGnet: "And last, but certainly not least, are the black orcs. Black orcs are made, not born, summoned through sacrifice and magic and spawned from pools deep within the earth. They're stronger, faster, smarter, and meaner than the average orc, and if they remind you just a little bit of the Uruk-Hai from Peter Jackson's Fellowship of the Ring, then you're thinking correctly."
