| | | New Story I would also like to start up a new story.
I would be looking for writers to join of course, so if your willing to hack, slash, and bash some orc or what ever you so desire come and take part.
ps- if your stuck on designing your character heres a template
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Name: Your characters name
Race: what species your character is (human and elf being the most common on pbg)
Gender: male/female
Age: how old is she/he?
Eyes: eyes colour
Skin: skin colour
Hair: hair style/colour
Height: how high your character is, preferably in both meters and feet
Weight: how much he/she weights, preferably in American AND European standards
Languages: does your character knows any other languages than Common (English) if yes, then that goes here
Alignment: Is she/he a follower of good or evil. Perhaps she/he is neutral and tries to keep a balance between the two extremes?
Patron Deity: If your character follows a god, which one?
Class: Fighter, wizard, cleric? You get the picture
weapons - what weapons you Charater carries
Personality:
Does the character have an outgoing personality, or is he/she a social enigma. You're not supposed to write how the character would react to every single situation, but rather give the other players something to go by, so people know vaguely what to expect in different situations
History:
The background story of where, why when and so on about your character.
| | | Alright, there's one or two things I want to point out. You don't really need to include "appearance" as part of the template. Since you will be putting the eye, hair, and skin color,age, race, gender, weight, and the height of your character, people will already have a fair idea of how your character will look.
You might want to consider putting down what equipment your character uses, in case there is a specific weapon that you like. Otherwise, people might say that your character is using a weapon that you absolutely hate. Just a couple of ideas, of coarse. BTW,are you a member of the Bioware forums? Just wondering.
| | I'll think about it.  Some other people might have to join up, though. I don't think you could write a story with just two people; it would be kinda hard.
| | | Golden Lion, did you get the pm I sent you? Anyways, here's my character.
************************************************** ********
Name: Shayla Kordan
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Age: 21 (This way, my character is of a reasonable age and GL gets to be the youngest.)
Eyes: silver/gray
Skin: Mostly fair, seeing as she's a redhead.
Hair: Shoulder-length, curly, red
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 135 lbs
Languages: English, Elven
Alighnment: Neutral Good
Patron Deity: Oghma
Class: Bard
Weapons: Rapier
Personality: Shayla tends to be fairly quiet. She looks and listens, hoping to find something to write about. It is her dream to accompany a group of adventurers, then write a song or two about their journeys, then become a well-known bard for writing them. She can be quite friendly when she wants to be, though she tends to try to stay in the background. She is rather soft-spoken, despite the fact that she is a bard. She hopes that she can find someone to love again, but she is afraid to tell anyone this, for fear it is a sign of weakness.
History: Shayla grew up in a small mountain village, away from most civilization. From the time she was a little girl, she loved to sing, and to write songs. She would sing to the sheep, cows, her siblings, and to virtually anyone who would listen. At the age of four, she found a friend in a village boy named Torenn, who was the same age as her. They grew up together, and as they did so, they became closer. It was when she was 17 when tragedy struck.
She was already 17, almost 18, and indead, betrothed to Torenn. (Girls tend to marry young in her village, as well as in several others.) They were to marry in a moon. However, the village recieved word of a raid on a nearby town. The headman decided to send ot a party to see if the town was alright. Torenn was among the men chosen to be sent. Shayla knew that there was no way around it, so she wished her betrothed luck and watched as the party left. She had no idea what would be waiting for them.
Two weeks later, the party returned, tired and bedraggled. They had been ambushed by a mass of trolls upon reaching the twn. Several of their members were dead. Shayla looked in hope for Torenn, hoping that he was still alive, but her search was in vain. Torenn had been one of the first to fall. Shayla wept bitterly for her beloved, knowing that she would never see him again. She tried to return to normal life in the village, but it wasn't the same without Torenn. She left the village, and struck out on her own. She now goes from town to town, lending her services as a bard. Many people respect her singing, but her songs are not yet the quality of famous bards.
| | welcome aboard Golden loin and Werebeargoddess. I hope to get my character's profile up in the coming days.
I was wondering what you two thought about DM's; I'm sort of against having a DM for this story, thoughts?  We can discuss any issues we have openly between each other.
@Golden loin - your character class is ok
| | | How about we just take turns telling the story? That's what we did in the Board Story.
| | I'll leave my guy at his current size for now, and as for his age, let him be 16, on the brink of seventeenhood.
Personality:
Commander Stanislav is a relatively nice guy, and easy to get along with. He is a bit arrogant at times, and will often take the lead, even though it may rihtfully belong to one of his elders. Otherwise, he strives to do what is right, by any means necessary. He is not terribly experienced in the ways of the world, yet, but his tactical, magical, and medical knowledge are excellent for his age. Though he has indeed attained the rank of Commander in his people's army, he feels uncomfortable with the title, a bit. It is a good source of fuel for his decent-sized ego (Hey, I'm a teenager! I know everything!!  ), but still awkward when pronounced by elders and close friends.
History:
Commander Stanislav grew up in a small village on the outskirts of Athkatla. he was always interested in combat, and started his career as a fighter. At the age of 5, he met a young girl named Nalia, only a few years his senior. Nalia was a mage, and that took Stanislav's interest. She taught him basic magic techniques and after a year, he became a full mage of low level. Meanwhile, he also studied healing magic from his mother, who was a cleric in the service of Ilmater. Thus, at the age of 9, he had mastered Combat, Wizardry, and Healing Magic. He was always more of a warrior than a mage or a cleric, but he has not neglected the other two sides of him. At the age of 12, he joined the Amnish Brigade, a patrol group meant to provide security for outlying towns, as well as an opportunity for younger members to get a taste of combat, and perhaps one day serve in the Amnish Army. After a year of service, Stanislav ascended to the Army, as a common foot-soldier. He fought many small engagements on the outskirts of Athkatla, and commanded his fellow soldiers on occasion. He acheived the rank of Lieutenant after a year of glorious service. After another year, and two major engagements with the Zhents, he was awarded the rank of Captain. His crowning acheivement was the discovery of a treasure cache guarded by a regiment of Tethyrian soldiers that outnumbered his own three to one. With limited resources, Captain Stanislav devised a plan to incinerate the battlefield with oils, so as to confuse and ultimately decimate the enemy. The plan worked, and after a day of fighting, the cache was secured. Stanislav inspected the cache and discovered a set of six small books that appeared to have no value. The soldiers all agreed that the gold could be taken to Athkatla, where it would be redistributed among the men, and that the books were of no consequence, and could go to Stanislav. As he read each book, it crumbled into dust. He felt his body grow stronger and faster, his mind clearer and sharper. Soon, he was feeling better than ever, and after taking an extended leave after his promotion to Commander, he decided to seek his fortune as an adventurer.
| | | One question, will bards have spells in this? I really don't mind if they do not, because it might get kinda confusing for a whole bunch of people to have spells.
