| | | Hm, after DW's post, I thought I might bring it up. How should we address the obvious dual languages? Should we translate in the post, or should we let interested parties translate themselves? |

| | @Aegis.. good point, I had wondered that myself. I'm bilingual, so I don't have any trouble reading the French others write, but if anyone out there is less familiar with the language I'm happy to translate here in the discussion thread, just ask
I have another question, what time frame are we looking at? I am guessing around the 1750s, or is that too far back? It's just that I might do a bit of research on the era

Sure thing Z...I've read your first post asn it was quite good ! Quote: Originally posted by Aegis Hm, after DW's post, I thought I might bring it up. How should we address the obvious dual languages? Should we translate in the post, or should we let interested parties translate themselves? |
I think most of the French can be discerned form the context, but if need be, one of the other persons involved can address the statement in such a way that the meaning becomes clear. Otherwise I would suggest a footnote in the post with the translation. Quote: Originally posted by dragon wench

| Actually, the story is set in modern times, with all of the technologies and information at our disposal tody, including the computer. It will make it very interesting when the 'Cartel' (Which has been around for hundreds of years) shows up on the scene to do a little 'witch-hunting' ...Some of our characters appear to be immortal...am I right Aegis?...this will also lend for some interesting writing when they reflect on the past in light of the present

Yes, I think that the idea of wearwolves and vampires along with a real live inquisition in modern times might be very entertaining
