BS told me I needed a thread to comment in. I know I need a thread to keep all of my scattered thoughts in. So, here is is. Suggestions, comments, plot bunnies, critisizms, corrections, and ideas all go here for everything I produce.
First, a character spreadsheet for the
Prophecy story. Contains slight spoilerage, but since the story is so cliched anyway it really shouldn't matter.
- Dwells-In-Thick-Marsh - 74-year-old Argonian Pilgrim. Originally born in his homeland of the Black Marsh, Dwells-In-Thick-Marsh immigrated to Vvardenfell with some distant family for unknown reasons. He joined the Thieves Guild and trained under the master Big Helende, specializing in stealth and lock picking. He has not forgotten how to wield a spear in close combat, however, and serves as an excellent sword arm for the party. Dwells-In-Thick-Marsh is likely the most down to earth member of the group and sees things for what they really are when his companions do not. He's gotten the idea that either Sietsuna or Allorin may possibly be the Nerevarine, but few agree with his theory.
- Sietsuna - 417-year-old Wood Elf Assassin. The older of the two Bosmer sisters that are our protagonists, Sietsuna (See-et-soon-uh) is the most focused and analytical member of the team. Being quite pessimistic and overly cautious has its drawbacks, however, and often this leads Sietsuna to only see the immediate situation and not the whole picture. She was an assassin-for-hire in Cyrodiil before she was apprehended, believed to be responsible for the deaths of at least four major political heads and several Imperial guards. Since her liberation in Seyda Neen Sietsuna has been extremely cautious as to who she allies herself with and just how close anyone gets to her current situation.
- Allorin - 304-year-old Wood Elf thief. The careless and untamed Bosmer that escaped from the port of Seyda Neen, Allorin is the counterpart and utter opposite to her sister. Loud, open, and seemingly unafraid of anything, one wouldn't think that the annoyingly perky elf was one of the most effecient smugglers that the city of Cyrodiil had ever known. The exporting of illegally condemned slaves to foreign nations is just one of the things Allorin was arrested for, but since arriving in Vvardenfell and seeing the mechanics of slavery first-hand on numerous plantations Allorin has just begun to understand the cruelty of the trade.
- Nels Llendo - 497 Dark Elf Rogue. The native Dunmer Nels Llendo was born as a member of the Erabenimsun ashlander tribe, a group of noble warriors settled in the Molag Amur region. Nels, however, much preffered the spoils of city life and set off to the modern world at a young age, experimenting with the arts of feirce swordsmanship in combination with stealth tactics. With little interest in freelance work to earn his gold Nels took to the roadways, ambushing random caravans and adventurers along deserted travel routes and robbing them for everything they had. These endeavors have led the young and confident Dunmer to think he's one of the best swordsmen in the region, but encounters in his near future would teach him otherwise.
- Hralding Iceaxe - 30-year-old Nordic Warrior. Hralding originated from Dagon Fell, Vvarndenfell's Nordic ghetto. Like most other warriors from his villiage he learned how to wield an axe expertly from a young age and was quite proud of himself for it. His first adventure away from the Sheogorad, unfortunately was a lesson in humiliation. Over zealous as he was, Hralding bit off more than he could chew when he misunderstood a witch's request for him to go away as a form of being hard-to-get. The witch, a Telvanni Master's daughter, not only paralyzed Hralding and left him naked along a roadside, but also cursed him in a manner that forced him to blurt whatever obscene thoughts about a woman crossed his mind out loud. Needless to say Hralding has had a difficult time being tactful when he unwillingly speaks freely his true intentions when introducing himself to an attractive woman.
Please know, Hralding's character was, in fact, was written in with BS in mind. I don't want to be sued by infringing copyright laws on somebody's personality.
On the flip side, I have
Plot Bunnies.
BG2 fiction involving a short conversation between two Amnish NPCs in particular about the chaotic net of frienship they've developed with thier new party and thier particular party leader.
I started a BG2 fic last year concerning Nalia primarily and her struggles with life just before joining a Bhaalspawn, dragging Anomen along for the ride. Mostly a look into Nalia's character as she kind of needs the attention. Will maybe pick it up again when I need a break from
Prophecy.
More scattered thoughts to come when I can think clearly.
