| | | A Stargate story, anyone?
I was thinking of setting up some kind of Stargate related story here. It was mentioned in the 'pyramids' thread but nothing has happened since, so I thought I'd show some iniative  .
Is anyone interested in such a story? And helping me with the writing of it?
My thoughts:
- Something similar to Scattered Embers- Different characters starting at different places. Some could ally whereas others become enemies.
- Lots of different agendas and preferrably a few opposing sides.
- Avoid main characters already in Stargate- such as SG-1 or main Goa'uld- Anubis/Baal.
- Nothing too powerful- So no one in control of huge armies.
- Could be set at any time- Beyond the Stargate SG-1 premise, set during it or before.
- Possible starting characters- SG team or individual, Tok'ra, Goa'uld (in service of a major System Lord or a minor System Lord), human form replicator and anyone else from a planet touched on in the series or not.
Can't think of anything else for now. Anyone interested?
If anyone else has any ideas, feel free to add them. 
ADDITION- If someone wants to meet with another character or visit the same place someone else has, you should discuss it first, so it doesn't spoil anyone's plots.

I don't know anything about 'Origin' so no need to worry about that from me! Is that Season 9. Okay, I'm adding a point, no-one includes material from the latest season- they haven't shown any of it in the UK yet and I don't want people spoiling it for me  . Season 8 and back for now.
Anyone else? I'll try not to make the story too complicated as to scare off anyone , maybe post some resource websites at some point.

| | A Jaffa with a split personality? Sounds more like a Goa'uld or Tok'ra. Could be good though . I've been thinking about a Rogue NID character that got split from the Trust after they became Goa'uld. Stranded in hostile territory...with the SGC, Goa'uld and Trust after him.
May start another couple of threads for the story and characters/resources at some point, turn this into a discussion thread.

| | | I don't pay as much attention to the SG-1 storyline as the Atlantis storyline (except for the new season that they're showing over here, which I now watch as much as Atlantis), but this could turn out to be interesting.
If I do create a char, it will probably be a Jaffa, maybe modeled along the lines of Tae'lc (how do you spell his name?)

I would have said set it in Pegasus (Atlantis) but I feel that's too open-ended. However you could still create a character from a completely different world and avoid any storyline you've missed. I'll post some resources too at some point which could help.
There is still a lot of potential in SG-1.

Yeah, what I might do, if not a Jaffa, I might just pull a someone out of the Atlantis universe and put them in SG-1

| | I'm happy for you to do that, as long as that person does not shift the balance of power too much.
Just come up with a valid reason for them to be in the Milky Way and the way to do it- such as a ZPM- the gate requires more power to connect between different galaxies.
I posted a character in the new character/resources thread if anyone wants to look. An example perhaps .
