| | Here is what I spotted today in www.nma-fallout.com: Quote:
he minimum computer system specifications for Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion have been posted at the official site: 512MB System RAM
2 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
128MB Direct3D compatible video card
and DirectX 9.0 compatible driver;
8x DVD-ROM drive (...)
The recommended specs are: 3 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
1 GB System RAM
ATI X800 series, Nvidia GeForce 6800 series, or higher video card
You may want to at least meet those for the hopefully upcoming Fallout 3, since this is the engine that will run it.

| | I need a DVD drive and I'll upgrade my Ram 1 Gigahert. But just for the fun of it. My video card has 265 (YAY!!!). I plan buying another computer next year, and then I'll adjust it to the recommended settings, or more, if the budget allows it. |

| | Here's a link to the only current screenshot of Fallout 3 as of today's date (02-23-2006). Everything else is either from the previous version (which got cancelled) or a fake. http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/fallo...reenindex.html

| | | Check out Interplay, the Britney Spears of Gaming I am new here, and i just went through subscribtion just so i could do some posting, hope none of it offending.I read ALL the posts on this thread, and wanted to tell you about Interplay, those paper shuffling pieces of...
They KEPT the rights and license to Fallout, in regard to some posts claiming otherwise.
Being a Law student myself, i dabble in the art, so i know what i am sayin when i am sayin that Interplay, a company with the business mind of a 5 year old (they didn't go with the 'barter' skill in the game made some clever negociations with Beth Soft. They sold the license for ONLY a Fallout game with single player, maybe even with a lil bit of multiplayer, but retained the license for a MMORPG.If Beth strikes home with their game, because we will be blind to their elf and dwarf games and buy whatever Fallout they make (Tactics - we bought it didn't we?), Interplay will do a crap Fallout MMORPG with the original team, who are currently unnemployed, thus they are desperate for a chance to take a crack at Fallout.
So, Interplay hired some good pencil shovers and so they still plan to make some money off our gaming butts, while posing nude in bankruptcy.
Thank you for reading this loooong text.
Kipi, nice work with the stories. |

Could you possible point out where that information is given, since I can't find it? Quote: |

| | | Interplay has not a bad mind for business. It made wrong partnerships, AFAIK and had tons of lawsuits from workers and partners who, of course, have something to demand, so I guess it is not a 5 years old barter skill, but rather a very bad charisma or really its a corrupt company, who was making money as water from RPG's like Baldur's Gate but just couldnt keep the partnerships and the contracts running smoothly. That's an administrative cancer instead of a poor business handling. |

This is a quote you will find at: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/fallo...s_6102442.html
'As it turns out, the latter group was right. This week, Interplay announced that Bethesda Softworks would develop and publish Fallout 3 and other Fallout games for PCs, consoles, and all other platforms. Interplay will technically retain ownership of the Fallout brand and still holds the rights to a Fallout MMORPG'
You can also see the Todd Howard interview there, who is just another marketing producer. He gives answers that aren't really answers.See for yourself.
GS: Will it have the same storyline as the Black Isle Studios’ Fallout 3?
TH: Unknown right now. I doubt it though.
GS: Do you have any plans to involve any former Black Isle Studios developers in the game's development?
TH: No firm plans, but anything's possible at this stage.
Luis, charisma is like a smile on aproach kind of thing, and i really loved Interplay and all, but i never want to succumb to my own thoughts that big companies are devilspawn. With a marketing department. And a sales rep.And a trident.

| | | Okay, but about the multiplayer:
GS: Will Interplay's retention of "all online gaming rights for the Fallout franchise" affect whether or not Fallout 3 has an online component?
TH: No. They only keep rights for a persistent online massively multiplayer game. We could still have a multiplayer or online component to our titles.
SO basically, they can add multiplayer option to it, and there is no limit to it. Interplay only kept license to MMORPG, not in multiplayer in general...

| | | How do y'all know that Bethesda didn't just go ahead and buy the rights to the rest later but not announce it to the public? Or didn't you get the memo?... |

But as I said, it may be that I understood (and still understand) your sentence wrong...
