too many encounters

hi,

its my second time playing through fallout tactics and this time I decided to explore the entire world map (like i always do in fallout 1 & 2). The thing is that i can't seem to move my squad around the world map without getting a random encounter every so often. My record right now is five encounters on the same square. I always fight through them, since i'm only in the beginning of the game and can use the xp, but it's starting to annoy me. This way it will take forever to explore the entire worldmap. So my question is is there any way to lessen te random encounters you get?

If you get around 100 Outdoorsman, you'll do fine.

I'd advise you not to burn points in the skill though, as you get such a large ammount of books teaching the skill.

So just wait untill your at around 100, this should be when your fighting super mutants, and you will be able to avoid them all. It still is a little annoying though.
