Setting up the character

Hello, as I remember there are several things to take into mind when setting up your new character.. To carry Big Guns you must have a strength of 8, right? But I dont remember how much + you get in you're attributes when wearing power armor.. Also, to get the sharp spear in the beginning, one must have a perception of 7, or...?

Any help or advice would be appreciated

Most big guns have a minimum strenght requierment for 6 and 7;
M60; 7 Strength
Minigun; 7 Strength
Avenger Minigun; 7 Strength
Vindicator Minigun; 7 Strength
Light Support Weapon; 6 Strength
H&K G11E; 6 Strength
Flamethrower; 6 Strength
Rocketlauncher; 6 Strength

(Gatling Laser; 6 Strength)


Powerarmor should give +3 strength and Advanced Powerarmor should give +4 strength.

I can't remember the excat Perception needed for the spear, but it is likely it is about 7. I always have high perception on my characters, so I couldn't tell the cut-off.

Thanks! The perception for the spear is 6... WoW! I went straight from Klamath to Redding, and cleared out the mine! Whoa! Some experience! And money!

Maybe, I can't remember - however, it is listed under "Big Guns" in my game guide.
