Unhappy ?Questions?

Something that allways has been my nightmare with Fallout 2 is that I think the time is running from me. Is there any way to get the G.E.C.K to Arroyo in time? Or will the fourth shaman warning appear even if you get your hands on the G.E.C.K? Is the meaning with the game that the people of Arroyo will die anyway.

Spoiler

You will never reach Arroyo in time. They will always be killed/kidnapped by the Enclave. It is part of the story line to get you to go to the Enclave.

Pretty much - yes.
There is no time limit like in Fallout 1.

No, that's not true. There is a time limit. If you don't get the G.E.C.K. back to Arroyo before the fourth dream ( hmm...I'm not sure how many dreams there are. But the fourth dream should tell you that Arroyo died. The game will end then. If it's not the fourth then it's the fifth) the whole town will die. It happened to me once. I got the G.E.C.K. and was heading back to Arroyo when the time limit was over. Quite annoying...but I had a previous save...

I've never had any personal experience with that - nor read or heard about it. It sounds much more like either a glicth or game-bug to me.

This is taken from a Fallout 2 faq which is displayed on NMA (and the information is also mentioned on GBs Fallout 2 site).

Is there a time limit?
There is a hard coded time limit in the engine for 13 years, but other than that, you don't need to complete the main plot within a certain time period.

13 years is a very very very long time in that game
Would take a lot of walking around to get near that limit.
