| | | Fallout Demo Hey I wanted to try out Fallout, and I downloaded the demo on google (forgot where). I have a vista and it doesn't work, can I do something about it or should i just hate vista? |

| | | 1.) You should hate Vista in general.
2.) It's for DOS/Windows 95/98 so you should try installing it with the compatibility mode.

| | | Probably I would combine those two options:
As the game is pretty old Dos/Win95, it's rather unlikely that Vista would be able to run it (at least untill someone finds a way to make it work).

| | | Actually, Fallout has tested to run fine on Vista, so the demo should run too.
Just use the compatibility mode, it really should work fine. |

| | Well, that's good to hear because I must at some point to move to Vista, and thus one of my favourite game should work on it

| | | ok I found out how to make it compatible(i hate this word now)
I played a bit but it didn't work well, the screen kept going black until i moved my mouse around enough... Should I try it on an XP instead of a vista? Or should I find an old arse computer from before 2000? |

| | | XP should be enough, and it may also be that the problem you experienced had nothing to do with Vista. That problem occurs at times even with Fallout 2.
