Fallout 2 wont run on XP SP2. Any ideas?

The funny thing is....it ran on this exact same machine before i had the HDD replaced.

The first problem is, when i try to run the installer, i get nothing but a blue screen. Not the BSOD, just a blue screen, no text, etc and i can alt-tab out and close the non-functioning setup.exe with task manager.

I did a manual install, but after that i cant get to the main menue.....the colors are all screwed up, it wont even display, if i take a screenshot with print screen all it shows is a black screen.

Ive tried fiddling with display drivers, disabling the display device completely, turning off hardware acceleration, compability settings(do these even DO anything?) and it still wont work. I have no clue whats causing the problem. Any ideas why?

I am runing the latest omega drivers for radeon 9000 btw.

First of all, welcome to the forums.

What's your file system on the new HDD? It probably doesn't make a difference, but it should be eliminated as a cause of your problem. You can also try plugging in the old hard drive and installing an older version of Windows there.
Compatibility settings help alot, btw, especially with the "low memory" issues.

Oh, and go-read-the-*beep*in-stickies!
