Character Creation: Fallout 2

I'm strongly considering a new game of it. What combination of skills and attributes have you found to work well, since I'm trying to do something different?

My Sniper char usually was (can't remember for sure)
SPECIAL: 6, 8-10, 4-6, 3-4, 8, 10, 6
Traits was gifted and small frame.
Tag skills usually was small guns, talk, First Aid.

Perks you can see what I recomend in another thread.

(if you go so low charisma make sure to get magnetic personality to get that extra party member - you can then have a party of 3 NPCs - mostly for carrying stuff or when you need to keep multiple enemies bussy)

But keep pumping up small guns untill they reach about 140-150 ish.
When you can get the perk "Tag" select Energy weapon (I think it is called) and pump that up to 140-150+

This guy can kill most any one monster in 1 action round and most often 1½ per action round in the end-game.
