Is Jack Back???

I'm actually kind of missing dear old Jack; at least he was a villain in the true meaning of the word. I think it would be very interesting if it was Scythe. It would pull both stories together.

Considering Scythe is mentioned alot in the game, were as jack is not, I'm really thinking that it is scythe.

I hope that solved that One.

It maybe Jack Of Blades, but i'm not Convinced.

Oh and about, the man carrying the Scrolls in Fairfax Castle. SPOILER BELOW:

The man is Garth, and he joins you on your Quests at a later point in the Game. He lives in Brightwood Tower, and has only just been teleported when you get the letter. Yet again, Impossible.

She wouldn't know her relation to the hero if he never told her she was his desendant. You're also assuming they're in or near a town somewhere, it could just be the two of them in the middle of nowhere.

Rose would know who he is, and his power. She would soon Figure out that he is her father. And talking about the Two of them Alone. I was talking about Rumors, what if someone Saw the Hero of all Hero's in the Forest. Everyone would be told, and soon it would get to your Character. They need somebody who would attract less Attention.

Unless its in the DLC (which I haven't seen), the game never says he's her father. Theresa says the Hero was your ancestor.
As far as rumors go, someone would have to recognize him and its been a few centuries since his heroing days. Odds are no one would know what he looked like back then, least of all now.

Ya about the father thing, really doubt it, I mean he would have had to have a kid at 500+ years old and I really doubt he lived that long considering the guild is dust. (he would never let that happen)

I'm almost convinced it's Scythe still.

Guild Master did not come off as scary, as a matter of fact they went out of their way to try and make him nice, also he wasn't a king, ever, and in the game it did say that he was killed. So since he's not a blood relative he has no reason to exist.

Now the Hero of Oakvale is obviously an ancestor but there is just no possible way he's their father. Last time I check, he was not known for being immortal. The time lines are just too far apart.

Jack of Blades would be my second guess but I suppose your right. Resurrecting him twice would just be a little much but then again I'm sure they could pull it off. He is a skinny fella who wears a hood but that was just his body and Jack resides in his mask, which I'm sure they would of mentioned that feature.

Scythe fits the bill perfectly. He was extremely thin, practically a skeleton with skin, he did look like a freaking mummy without the bandages so there's your scary part, and as you ancestor and being immortal I would assume he would know a lot of your family. Remember you=decadent of Archon, Scythe =the original Archon. Plus, take a look at scythes robe in TLC, he has a hood on his back.

I'd say for the most part it's Scythe, mainly because there's no evidence it isn't him and there's alot of evidence he is. Jack on the other hand, barley fits the bill and has been killed twice, so over all I think most of us can come to agreement that it most likley was Scythe, only question now is what he has to do with the story line, but that will probably be revealed in DLC or a possible sequel.

When I was about to get shot out of a window at Lucien's, I thought I would have to kill Jack later on, but if he doesn't show up in this one, I doubt he show up at all, unless the letter was about him, and then he will be a show up later. And maybe it's not Jack, but still the mask possesing someone else. Maybe it is the HoaH, who could be immortal, but I doubt it. Maybe it's Scythe, much more likely then The Hero of Oakvale(a.k.a. HoaH).

So if you can't decipher this mess, I think Jack is Back. Cliche, but Fable is cliche.

Here's my thoughts...

I don't think it is Jack of Blades... it's possible, but I would think that the Developers would like to develope the story further... and to me just bring Jack back doesn't add depth.

It could possibly be the hero from Fable 1, because I don't think he is dead... and Hero's are intimidating at first glance. If you read all of the loading screens, there is a screen with a quote that suggests that the hero of fable 1 is still alive among the citizens.. I dont remember it word for word, but it says something about when he was young and the fire of oakvale and in the quote it just says "overheard from a citizen" or something like that... watch for it while you're playing your game.

It could be Scythe, that is probably the best suggestion, but I am pretty curious about it being the Hero of Fable 1.

There will for sure be a sequel, in fact I read some where that the story line for a total of 8 Fables have already been written and they all tie in together.

and some facts from interviews with the makers of Fable 2... the Teresa in fable is the same teresa i fable 2...she is the main bridge link between the two stories... Wraithmarsh is oakvale after it fell to ruins and corruptness.

Oakvale was destroyed in a deal made by Reaver. He sacrificed the entire town to make a deal for immortality and forever looking young so long as he gives a sacrifice occasionally. Also there were other survivors of the Oakvale raid, that little girl was one of them, remember? So at that it could be any random villager that said that. But I admit, it would be very interesting to see the Hero of Oakvale in Fable 2.

well it could be any villager that survived the raid on Oakvale, if they had the ability to live 500 years.... a hero seems the only likely suspect to achieve a long life... since it really is never said if Heroes have normal lifespans.

and its never said that the quotes were from that century. Immortality is apparently rare amongst heros as everyone seems to praise Scythe for it and even Reaver had to go through extreme measures to obtain it. Jack made the illusion that he was immortal by body swapping every few decades, I actually thought that was a pretty clever twist. However, if sending someone into a void and then being resurrected as a dragon is possible, I suppose the hero can be brought to life or still be alive. I wouldn't get my hopes up though.
