| | | changes I know this was just discussed and many people made good points,(I especially liked the whole raise a kid thing ) but what about weapons or items you would add or remove? The ability to pick up dead enimies items and the like. Just try to think of more shallow things than, the NPC's need more dialoge." |

| | changes It would be very cool if you could get other skills as fighting, such as blacksmitting, cooking, crafting etc. and i dont like that there is almost nothing to do between quests the heads should be looser. and more finaly I think extra ranged weapons wont hurt, like trowing knives, a blowpipe or a catapult for when you are a kid.

| | | One point that hasn't been stressed enough is the lack of depth in the one category that made Fable unique: the alignment category.
Did anyone else find this statistic to be too gimmicky? I eat a couple crunchy chicks and now I'm a bad guy? Why does killing any hostile monster net good points? Evil badasses don't care about ANYONE except themselves, that includes bandits and undead, so why give us good points for that? The game was very linear and the "evil" decisions just felt tacky and added on for effect.
Secondly, the quests needed to be more varied to account for the alignment. EVERY quest should have the option of betrayal or evil decisions inside the quest that allows you to complete it the way you want. Someone else posted that there should actually be two guilds (one good, one evil). That idea is interesting and is what I'm getting at. To be evil in Fable, I had to break every barrel I saw, choose to kill random traders and villagers for no reason, and make the cookie-cutter evil choices on quests.
** SPOILER ALERT**
A good example of a more varied quest system is the final quest of The Lost Chapters, in which you can choose how to aquire the souls, either a noble way or an evil way. I say take this dynamic and apply it to all quests.
Miscellaneous Good Ideas:
I like the idea of having a servant who follows you around, perhaps an evil demon riding on your shoulder if you are evil and a cherub if you are good. Would add the possibility of more of that great Fable humour (imagine the demon encouraging you to slash burn and kill all the time a la Black and White 2). Your spouse should reflect your alignment as well, I'd love to see my wife slowly go over to the dark side and wear black clothes, get tatoos etc.. would be cool.
The end. ^_^ |

| | Fable 2 things needed Alright big fan of Fable and TLC *same game more stuff* Well first of all longer like good 23 hours longer. More gold quests and more side quest. Get even more freedom as in bowerstone no weapons say somthing like to bad and kill them all. Not much but some graphic upgrades would be nice. And more realistic flesh wounds. Like if you cut somebody you see the mark and its dripping blood that would be sweet. And need some more maps. And have like a war during the game where you go to towns and people are prepairing for war. And eventually you have to go fight that would be pretty sweet. And last thing a stronger boss. Jack is awsome and he is really evil and all that jazz. Then you go fight him and hes not final boss material he does send his people at you like most bosses but he should of been way harder or when you kill him he turns into somthing that would be a great upgrade |

| | | Fable Two OK, I have been reading your entry's and I just had a great idea.... I think in Fable 2 there should be more time as a kid, but more a teenager than a kid. You should have friends that you play with and go to school with. But one day you become an apprentice Hero and learn your skills from your mentor...then you go on to bigger and better quests with age. Although your mentor is killed and the main plot is based on your revenge....... |

| | Fable TLC was awesome, but I think they should do these for Fable 2:
MMORG (I don't really care if they do this or not, but they need SOME form of multiplayer!)
Larger World!
More Real Estate, and the ability to make/destroy buildings and towns!
Boats! Everything from fishing boats, to transports, galleys, frigates, trading/cargo/merchant ships and battleships! Plus you can join the navy or be a pirate, and explore the seas! And you shouldn't necissarily be the navigator, you should be able to just enjoy the ride.....and cannons! YAY!
I would also like more armor:
Studded Leather
Scale Mail
Chain Mail (That actually looks like chain mail!)
Half-Plate
+ All the old armour
TRADER OUTFIT!!! XD
I also think that there should be magic and archery/sneaking restrictions in heavier armor, or else it makes no difference if you are in full plate, will-user robes, or the assassin's outfit.
And newer weapons:
Scimitar
Staff (These could be magical too!)
Cutlass (that actually looks like a cutlass!)
Pistol (No rifle though, except maybe as a weak legendary weapon. The pistol should be short aimed but strong.....but these should be extremely rare and expensive!)
Short Bow (Practically the same as a pistol except the rareness/expensive part)
Hand Crossbow (it would be like a cross between the pistol and shortbow! And yes, these did exist in medeival times!)
Duel Weilding (But there should be a major penalty so that it evens out with one handed light weapons and two handed heavy weapons)
Sheilds (for gods sake! They should make it that blocking with a weapon and not a sheild gives a chance for a failed block!)
Repeating Crossbow (As a legendary weapon)
More magic! (Will-Users should have more magic related quests with an easier task, like finding spellbooks in the underground frozen arcane libraries of the Northern Wastes)
I think that the rest is quite good, and I also agree with most of the other posters here! I think the augmentation system and weapon quality is fine though! I think that the expressions thing is fine, but I think there should be more expression things, and more types of guilds other then your standard training Heroe's Guild (i.e. Will-User's Guild, Archer's Guild, Warrior's Guild, Theives Guild)
And I think there should be many forks in the plot, so that you will learn/do things as a Good Archer that you wouldn't as a Neutral Will-User etc. etc.
Also:
Longer game! (duh!)
Enemies that progress in skill as you progress!
There! I am done for now.....

| | i had a really good suggestion (or so i thought) before, but i forgot it before i could get it down.
reading through i can see a lot of things that i would agree with.
i mean, i saw a render of an evil dude in the will users dark outfit holding a pair of knives or something. that would be absolute pwn. so yes, dual-wielding. and shields. and other varieties of weaponry (definitely more in the ranged combat area) would be ace too.
id like to see more emphasis on character classes. the skill experience pool says something about being a nimble ranger or a stealthy rogue or something. i want to see this being made into more than just a line of text that comes up on the personality screen.
yes, this would detriment a bit from fables uniqueness of being all these things at once, but it would make a world of difference. the stealth skill is hardly useful during a quest, so id like that to be implimented somewhere.
i concur on the alignment system being a little oversensitive. when youre playing an extremely righteous character and you need to heal in the middle of a battle, the last thing you want to see is that little chickens head in the corner of your screen.
gender picking i would also agree with. that said, if theyre going to make it ridiculously restrictive to play as a female, they might as well leave it out. i love fable for the sheer freedom it offers. being offered a half-assed selection of armour because you chose a character with different reproductive organs would be a mite disenchanting.
the games humour is an incredible attribute to the games atmosphere, so simply put, more of it is needed.
the gameplay does drag out over a decent period, but i would like to see it extended a fair bit. anything upwards of 24 hours would be great.
plenty of secrets/unlockable stuff! more legendary weapons to find! more demon doors to get past! more minigames (chicken kicking rocked)!
ok, hows this: take fable and expand on all the things that made it good, and rework all the things that didnt (im hard-pressed to think of any of them at the moment).
and for the love of avo, let us have weapons in bowerstone! theres only so many times you can beat lady grey before shed have to kark it. |

| | Oh and one more thing... Something to do with all that freaking experience you have left over after you've fully leveled up! I mean jeez, you should be able to convert it to other forms of experience, or maybe it should automatically go to general experience or something! |

| | The fable 2 that ur talking about is this for the X-Box and not X-Box 360 if so here is what i would like:
i would like for there to be a birth day so that u dont age as fast as u do in the 1st game what was up with that anyways u would play for an hour and already be like 60 somthing
and another thing that could be better is that there should be good spells and evil spells
spells that u can only get if ur guy is evil and spells that u can only get if ur guy is good
thats all 4 now

| | Reading this thread, it seems to me that many people want to become just another RPG. Part of Fables charm (for me at least) was that it was just an action game that incorporated elements of RPG games for added depth (and I say this as a fan of RPGs). The fairly basic skill system worked fine, without going into D&D level detail.
Though I do like the repeated smithing aspect (either by doing it yourself, with the required skill or asking a blacksmith or custom make you one. With more skilled blacksmiths around later in the game).
Also I agree that the game should be longer. Far longer. With more side quests.
Enemies should become harder as you get better. It gets rather annoying when it is possible to dispatch enemies (which when first encountered represent a significant challenge) in one or two blows.
I quite liked the different areas, as opposed to the huge map you see in most game. Though it would be nice if they were slightly larger so more enemies could fit in them, as well as a larger world with more levels.
I liked the fluid alignment in the game. But I think you can go from extreme to extreme too easily. I think the character should get permently marked if [s]he was very evil (say) but "mends their ways." For example if you are so evil you get horns it should be impossible to completly loose them.
(I tried to think about the equivelent for good but all I could think of was tarnished halos and defeathered angel wings ).
I think it would also be good if Fable followed Final Fantasy's lead and have Fable 2 on a completely different world.
I think the magic system should also be revised, some (well, nearly all the spells) were just too powerful. Magic shield effectively rendered armour useless, and many offensive spells could clear out areas without having to top yourself up with mana potions.
Actually in general, the whole game should be harder. I think I only used one resurrection phial and that was at the beginning of the game when I was still getting to grips with the controls. |

| | A more open storyline.
Even though you can choose between good and evil, the story ties itself together without your choice influencing much of anything. - Other additions I'd like to see:(Would make skill/will/strength more powerful)(Earrings, glasses, eyepatch...)

| | | i think you've all missed one of the things present in most RPGs
Classes! instead of just the word assassin or spellcaster or whatever appearing in one of the menus they should make a difference to your gameplay, or at the start you should take a test to see which class would best suit you. and attributes would be cool too, things like speed that are affected by how much you use them, not just how many enemies you kill using that area of combat. running makes you faster, taking hits gives you better endurance, rolling or dodging hits for agility etc
that's all for now but i shall return.
