Yet Another Demon Door Trouble

My Combat Multiplier is 22 but the Demon Door still won't open!?

Can anyone tell me why or if I have to have a higher CM can you tell me what it is?

Alright I know I have to get to the door with a CM of 14+ but it seems impossible as I have been trying for the past hour.

I'm not sure if you are correcting yourself or what but the best way to get this done is by having physical shield at least up to level 2 and have your mana bar as large as possible so that you don't have to waste much while being attacked... run into the hobbes cave, then go into the Cave Larder kill all the hobbes, then come back out to the Hobbe Cave Entrance and kill kill kill... then go to the Cave Side Chamber and do the same and then back to the Hobbe Cave Entrance and finally outside.. you will always lose about 5 CM points while switching from area to area.. GL!

Lose 5 CM when transiting from one area to another? Hey! THat is not fair!

I lose half of my current CM when I transit. Most of the time, I managed a CM of 19 in the cave, but when I reach the outside, I have a CM of 9.

SOmetimes, I get the stupid hobbes instead of the Troll, and I end up with a total CM of only 13!

This demon door is darn frustrating! I wasted 3000 gold on will potions already. Have spent an hour on this effort for the Bluetane. I went from the age of 22 to a 46!

Is the bluetane worth the effort? It's nice and light. It's high damage is negated by the fact that we can have the Solus soon.

It's light but short. With an Obsidian greatsword augmented, I can achieve the same results before acquiring the Solus.

Is the bluetane worth all the frustration?

If you progress far enough in the game you can get into the arena, you'll have many opportunities to raise your combat multiplier there, make sure you keep your nrg-shield up and use those multiplierpotions.
When you've reached a combatmultiplier that is about twice as much as required recall back to the demondoor, kill whatever is out there and enter the door.

If you don't want to go trough all that trouble just find a different good weapon, it is easy to get Willow's Pickhammer by eating 10 crunchy chicks infront of the demondoor at Greatwood Gorge.

I finally got it. Took me a while because of when I go from the caves to outside I loose some of my CM (as has been noted by others).
