why?

In Hook Coast, I bought and sold some stuff, but when I left the shop, there was this really huge bright aura (like what a flame augmentation does, only way bigger and it was all the way around my katana) around my sword (katana hiryuu if that helps any). It was really weird. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the reason for this. I didn't buy any augmentations or anything. I sold some though..and the bright light didn't last. It went away after I left the town.

did you cast multi strike?

I think those effects are from the sharpening or piercing aug(forgot which one) that emits a slight purple and white light around the sword.
