Unclothed Toon situation

Been playing this game all day and finally had to stop because my toon is unclothed and being laughed at by the Oakvale villagers

I went to the merchant, purchased the clothing, Right pad click, then hitting B, then sold him my old clothing, right pad click and then B, then B all the way to the talking screen and my toon is starkers, except for his briefs with the union jack on his gum. Also, the melee weapon didn't load...all I have is a stinky stick!

Um. Darn. I had wanted to do the Twinblade Seer thingy. Do I need to start from scratch again? I world saved over it, already, too

What is simple that I'm missing here? How to clothe from inventory should be easy, but it's not for this blockhead.

ok, no problem
we all have problems wearing our clothes

use the back button
you will enter a different menu
scroll to equipment
select equipment
select clothes
put on what you want
the suit option is for those who have collected and want to wear the whole outfit or suit

selling the currently armed weapons will always arm the stick
use the equipment option like clothes, but to change weapons

this menu is also where you can check you game stats and other stuff - very important

Do as you have stated above...

And Yeah, I can't find the stats you all are talking about, except when I buy strengths and such in the Guild.

If the toon were a gal, maybe the villagers wouldn't laugh so much at a starkers toon...heh...

i think you misunderstood me, sayyadina

do NOT use the ingame menu
on your controller, press the BACK button
(it's by the START button)
then a new menu will appear

some items in this menu are:
skills - to move magic skill buttons
equipment - to change weapons and clothes
story - see your story
quest - to view past and present quests
maps - map of world
logbook? - to read scrolls and books
character? - to view character stats
