Unable to Use Physical Shield

I got the phys shield last night and it worked fine.
I didnt save... So I got it again this morning and now the game wont allow me to use it. What prevents the hero from using particular spells etc?
Alignment? exp points? armor? Im sure its simple, but I cant figure it out

if it is indeed simple than:
1. not enough mana.
2. you're in a town that won't allow spells

if that doest work, i dont know what to do.. but what do you mean with: wont allow?
like if you use it you get an error? or it just wont work?

It isnt because im in a town - it wont work anywhere.
Mana is also full.

It doesnt appear to be a glich because when I pull up skills/magic/physical spells it shows a black x over that spell.

strange.. than you shoudl wait a few days, mabey someone else knows the answer.. of not.. i think you might need to reinstal

Perhaps the spell is already activated?

nah that wasnt it either.
I did just get it to work though
It had a circle with an x through it listed under my spells.
I had to grab it and drag it over to its placement among my spells 0.o
Is that normal?
