Shouldn't there be a cutscene after the first battle with Jack?  There should be one (spoilers, please highlight) where you see Scythe talking to you, the Guildmaster and Briar Rose. Then, I think you will be treated to a scene where you are asked to enter the demon door that just awoke near the portal where you communicated with Scythe.
P.S. Welcome to GameBanshee, Animenia.  I doubt there are any difference between the PC and XBox version of TLC.
