I just what an opinion is it better to get the good sword, keep ya sister alive and be good or get the evil sword and kill her. Its mainly about the swords look. I personally think the sword of aeons looks better with its black blade and red hilt. Rather than the white blade and greyish unimpressive hilt of the tear of avo.

I went with Avos Tear but i think Sword of Aeons is better just because Jack had to activate the weird stone things just to get the sword. And Avos tear you get by just going to mazes tower then going to where the 3 legendary people are so i guess S.O.A.
I totally agree, the tear of avo seems to be a kind of a quick ooo lets put it in kind of thing since ya dont really have to do anything, plus SOA looks better and i want to be evil lol, ty for the help
The sword "Avos Tear" is only in the game for one reason. If you kept the sword of aeons and killed your sis., briar rose comments on how lucky you are to have it, because you will need it. I haven't played good yet, but I'm pretty sure if you don't have it she tells you you will need it, after the prophets quest. The reason its so short to get it is because the REAL quest is killing jack, the rest is filler.
why worry about which one when you can get both if you walk out of the chamber of fate with the SOA you can hero save reboot "kill" jack again and throw away the sword and get Avo's tear

I just threw away the Sword of Aeons and then didn't get offered the Tear of Avo by the Guild Master. He never said a word about it and just wants me to go off to the Prophets of the Fire Heart. I tried going to the books in Mazes Room and to the grave but nothing happened (because the Guild Master has n't spoken to me about it yet). Am I expecting it too soon?
You should trigger the quest for the sword right after completing the prophet quest.
