Strength to Magic?

I just started a good Mage and I was wondering does Strength make Spells like Fireball or Lightning Stronger i.e. like more Damage HP?

If you want to increase the damage from spells like Fireball or Lightning, you are going to have to put more ranks into the spells IE. spend more experience to level them up to 4.

I dont think strength increases damage from fire ball or lightning or enflame. But is sure does more damage when you deal with multi-strike.
