Thumbs up i say 8.5/10

i found like many others that the game was a bit short, however i have also found that replaying is just as great, just try a different allignment and weapon proficency. My biggest problem is that it seemed a bit too easy, the hardest thing was trying to save the archiologist in the time limit, but a little slow time fixed that really easily. at 14hrs the first time, ive gone back and started to slow it down, take time to do some trading or buy all the houses and fix them up, that sort of thing just to see exactly what depth there is.

the story line i found well developed, however there were a few times where it kind of forces you to move faster than i would like, you get somewhere and the next quest steam rolls to the end. I would have liked to see maybe an extra 10-15 optional quests just to stretch it out a bit.

but over all 8.5/10, very good replayability, if you get through too fast try to do something like collect all the hero dolls, or win the fist fighters trophy, of do the treasure hunt... there are fun things to pas the time... Like destroying a whole town (thats hard)

have fun

You are certainly entitled to your opinion; but please, don't edit ours, people who have brought up this issue. We didn't find the game "a bit short." We found it exceedingly short, where the average we're used to in RPGs is 60-120 hours; and Fable took 20, or less. That you feel otherwise is fine. Just don't put words in our collective mouths.

I can understand that. I beat halo twice on legendary mode in less then a week. It may have taken you 20 hours or less to beat Fable with one character, but I have 3 characters. A good warrior, an evil archer, and a neutral mage. So it will take me longer to finish it with them all I'm sure. Plus it seems more like a game where you interact with the world more then you're supposed to kill the boss at the end, kind of game.

And what do you think you're doing for the rest of us sherlock. Wipe that **** eating grin off your face step out of your closed minded little box. So the game wasn't 500 hours long, maybe it wasn't geared toward the hardcore, zit-infested, shower-needing, TIME-wasting rpg'ers. Maybe it was actually trying to be played to a wider audience. Don't be such an ******* of a hypocrit: you may be entitled to your own opinion, but lets revise it. The game goods beat out its bads, and that is my opinion and only mine. My suggestion; rent it or borrow it from someone you know because it's worth a play. It has a faint Secret of Mana feel to it and it's nice not to have the same generic, bored fight sequences. If you can't handle a shift from what your used too, sell all your possesions and move to Germany. Your nazi-fyed brain lacks the capacity to appreciate the 'short-story.'

if this was written about me i did not mean in any way to put words in your mouth, and im sorry if i didnt express exactly to what degree YOU thought it was short, but thats for you to do in your own post. I think like you said we are entitled to our own oppinion and IF this comment was about my earlier ones, i was not editing your opinion, i never said that you were wrong, i said i agreed HOWEVER i have a slightly different view.

sorry if you took my earlier post as a comment on you, it was not, i was simply expressing MY OWN oppinion.

I didnt call you an idiot like the guy before me most unfortunatly did, but dont bite my head off.

Well it's been well over a month and the game is still 50 bucks. Even a used copy is 45 (like it's worth getting the used copy for 5 bucks less...) Anyways, I guess that means that more people liked it then didn't like it.

When I said "give it a month" I meant give it a month from now, it wont be long and the price will be lowered, and this to the guy who was swearing at Fable, you might want to stop, I nearly got banned in my first week, and that was for posting a flame, you might want to reconsider all those things you tried to post(cause as most people know, but of course you must not, any kind of swears get bleeped out idiot) and the game is way too short, and you dont need to be a "zit covered... whatever else you said" person to enjoy a good rpg, and even for people who arent liek that i think anyone enjoys getting their moneys worth out of game and being able to play for a while and have some replay value

I score it a 7/10, which is in my opinion buy-worthy. It's a great game and all but it was way too easy. I never used one single resurection potion even with my worse characters! My first guy sucked real bad; he had exp points in all sorts of different skills and spells but he still managed not to use one single res. potion.

If the game would've been harder, a lot more hours of gameplay could've been into it. Fable said that the game had an average of 20 hours gameplay; i'm sure if it was hard enough to make you use your res. potions or make you have to place your experience more strategicaly, the game would've had maybe 10 more hours of gameplay.

It's still a great game. I would tell you to buy it.

Probably somthing around 4/10, it really does get very repetative, they say its always different and that maybe but there were only slight changes depending on what way you played I thought.

Most definately, the way it was made to sound it reminded me of NvN, where you get to choose just about everything about your guy, instead you are stuck as a man, can't alter your face/body/combat stance/what hand you use, nothing , only cool thing was the tatoos and even those end up fairly ugly once they start to fade away

what's so cool about changing your guy?
yes! now he's got the perfect stance/body/hand to use/ w.e.!! now what...
does that really add more fun to the game? I think it would just get you pumped about it for 2 seconds then it would just get old...the fable team would've just wasted too much time adding features like that.

It's those features that gave Fable so much hype...
