Graphics Card for Fable

Mkay, I recently got Fable: TLC, however, when I try to run it, it outputs a runtime error.

My current Graphics card is Nvidia GeForce MX 4000 (PCI).

Upon looking through the readme, I saw that Fable does not support the MX edition.

So, I was wondering what PCI Graphics cards all of you have (my computer doesn't support AGP and if you could reccomend a card that would let me run Fable (and Thief III: Deadly Shadows) that would be wonderful.

I almost thought you meant PCI-Express, Crenshinibon. Anyway, back on track. For graphics cards on the PCI, I would recommend a Geforce 5700LE. Oh by the way, my graphics card is PCI-Express based and its the Nvidia Geforce 6200 by ASUS.

No, not PCI-Express. Just plain, PCI.

Matthewd, is that a PCI or an AGP card?

Alright, I'll check that card out, thanks DesR85.

If anyone has more video cards that they'd like to reccomend, please feel free to post.

EDIT:

I just found the list of Graphics Cards that are supported by Fable and the one you suggested doesn't seem to be on there. Are you sure that it would permit Fable to run?

Here's the list link: Fable: The Lost Chapters

I forgot to add that the graphics card is a Geforce FX 5700LE. Anyway, they listed a Geforce FX 5200 as being able to run the game so I don't see how the Geforce FX 5700LE would not be able to do so since its faster than that Geforce FX 5200. Heck, I was even able to run the game on my Geforce 6200 even though its not listed in there.

Hmm, I can't find the descripton of DAC in Google but when I went to Webopedia, this is what they give me:

DAC - Short for digital-to-analog converter, a device (usually a single chip) that converts digital data into analog signals. Modems require a DAC to convert data to analog signals that can be carried by telephone wires. Video adapters also require DACs, called RAMDACs, to convert digital data to analog signals that the monitor can process.

Are you sure its a graphics card?

I don't think Fable can run on that graphics card. Sorry. I've checked the supported video cards for Fable: TLC and I can't find your graphics card there.

I advice you not to get the Nvidia Geforce 4 MX4000. That card cannot run Fable: TLC. My friend tried to run the game with that card and a menu pops up saying that his card lacked a pixel shader 2.0 and refuses to run at all. I suggest getting the Nvidia Geforce FX or 6 series card. They're much better and will last you for quite a while.

Really? Hmm...that's the first time I've ever heard of this format.
