Floating orbs throwing fireballs! *possible SPOILER

What is the best way to dispose of the floating orbs that throw fireballs at you? I see glimpses of them changing to something like an evil cherub for an instant. They giggle alot too. I've been doing a 'duck & run'.
Yes, i'm new to the PC game world (and lovin' it!)

i dont know the best way to beat it but this is what i do. I push space so that it auto targets they thing then i cast lightning at it till its dead. Its good to have physical shield up because it will summon monsters that will attack you. Drink potions as you need them when fighting it. and most importantly keep casting lightning eventually it will die.

i find fireballs are quite effective. at a high level they die in 2 fireballs

you have to wait till there in the fairy form only then can they take damage
when there a glowing orb the invicible

divine furry and infernal wrath work well... even in orb form.. cause they automaticly change to nimf than. mostly they die than afther 1 cast
i kill them by casting mana shield (<--srry forgot name) and stand in close to them and than cast divine fury/ infernal wrath

another way is to use bow.. aim at them (on the pc thats num 0) and wait till they are nimf.. than shoot..but that may take 3 or 4 shots if your not a good archer

He is now pretty good at killing nymphs. Now that i know a little about what i am doing.... i'm going through the game a second time, after a meager finish. Combat multiplier stayed at about 6 through most of the game. Working on figuring that out now. Not used to combat multipliers i guess. Schizm & KQ VIII did not have it.
