I did that once, and got a massage from a mod. I didnt really get the meaning of the meassage, but I guessed it was a warning :P So im not taking any risks.

Actually, I used a trailer, by pressing a button during the game you can either: get infinite health, mana, gold and also freeze your inventory, meaning you can add new items but can't get rid of them, 4 example: you turn it on and then you can sell the same item again and again, I activated it just after I got the sword, then I through it in the vortex and watched the cutscene (the good one) after that I turned it off and I had the sword equipped... easy. And since I got the good cutscene, the Avos Tear quest was opened and I got that too.
