Hero's Journey 1 is in on a book shelf in the fisherman's house in Fisher Creek, I believe. I think there are just the three volumes in the series.

The book reads:
Page 76. "You take a seat in the corner of the underground tavern, with you back to the assassins' table. You try to make out what they're saying, but there is only a barely audible shisper. Just as you begin to move your chair discreetly backwards to get closer, a fight eruptsin the other end of the room. The man with the Balverine curse has just kicked the card-table over and is accusing one of the lizard-men of cheating. Soon, a number of drunk fighters and strange creatures join the brawl. Over the noise, you fail to hear one of the assassins move behind you. You feel the coldness of steel as he drives a Master Knife into your back and fall to the floor dead. You have failed."

Man that kinda sucks as an ending.
