Best way to tell time in-game?

I've found this EXTREMELY frustrating.

The most effective way I've found is the rotating statue in look-out point, which is a little hard to determine...

Well, there's the little day/night rotating thing. It indicates what time it is.

This is a very good way to determine the time.
also when it is dark, it is obviously night, and when it is lighter it is becomming morning.. but i quesss u got that one figured out
