i pretty sure that's not the bandit's sword
the bandits sword is more like a saber
not very big or powerful

that sword looks familiar -twinblades?
i pretty sure that the sword in this pic is not obtainable
where did you get this pic? did it come from a trusted source?

thats the sword the bigger bandits have the ones that are red. i guess theyre leaders. but if you do the siege quest. when you enter the zone a bandit talks to you and he has that sword

i meant to say:

that is a bandit gang leader's sword, but it is not the bandit's scimitar

gang leader's sword - unobtainable (i think)

bandit's scimitar - maybe obtainable
i haven't been able to get it, but others have

post how to if you find out

basic concept is to go to the bandit's camp
sleep in their beds, until they kick you out
and the sword AND/OR crossbow will be laying around the fire(s)
just pick it up

this may take a few tries and the weapons aren't very special (100 damage?)

many people have sworn that they have gotten them (one or the other, even both)

i haven't been able to get either of them, but i haven't tried in a while

if anyone has gotten them, lemme know

i got the bandit's scimitar (NOT the one in the picture posted above)
it only does 20 damage, so it's almost a waste of time

i went to sleep late afternon, but not dark yet
when the bandit took my bed, i ran around to the big bonfire and there was the sword

the game glitches deleting the character, but leaving the sword and the bottle he was drinking (can't pick up bottle, just floats mid-air)

next time i'll try for the crossbow

I think the sword in the picture is the cutlass bluetane (about 40,000? gold) which is inside the demon door outside of hobbe cave. You have to have a combat multiplier of 14 to get in. I'll have to try the bandit trick.

Maybe it was an early concept, and has been remove from the final version of the game.

all of u guys are wrong common mistake
that weapon in that pic is called the Bearaver or something like that
u can obtain it from the deamon door in the northern wastes by giving the door all your silver keys

did you look at the date?
its from 2004 thats why they didnt understand whats going on.

back then tlc wasnt out yet.
