i hadn't played the original Fable, i started with TLC for the PC. i had already heard a lot of complaints about the length of the game, and read enough reviews not to expect TLC to be much longer, so i wasn't surprised persay.

i think what disappointed me was the difficulty! it was way too easy~ the quests were alright i guess, but Jack of Blades (both times) was unbelievably easy to defeat. with enough strategical dodging and PS, you can get through both battles without using a single health potion. that was sort of pathetic... i expected him to be... well, less of a pushover.

I didn't play the original, but got TLC recently, and I must say the game presents a couple of good things, but overall - I wasn't impressed by it.
And the TLC additions seems far to artificial and as a non-integrated part of the game.
It seems mostly like a forced attempt to add longitivity to the game by - as usualy - introducing more and harder monsters instead of making the game more difficult in gameplay.

The "Puzzle" you have to solve in the start of TLC was so laughable and artificial, that it almost shames my normal scare-example of stupid puzzles in CRPGs aka the Towers of Hanio puzzle in SW:KOTOR.

As said - some good ideas in the game, and a load of bad - for instance, for the love of all that is holy - if introducing age and scars into the game, then have it have some actual influence on the gameplay other then lousy cosmetic fluff. *sigh*

New version is questionable

I have both versions of Fable. The original and TLC.

For me the TLC for the Xbox is not the quality that the first one.

Loads very slow. Slower then the original. Even have to wait for it to load when walking around. Seen some graphic glitches as well. The sun will shine but instead a nice sun ray it blinds you. The chicken game graphics are off when you stare off in a distant.

Now I know why they decided to sell the new one so cheap for the Xbox. It feels like it was never tweaked before it was shipped for the Xbox.

But dont get me wrong thought it was a decent game but for its way to short and seems TLC is just buggy.

I am sorry to say that I will be hard press to by the next one.

It could had been better, that's for sure. The game wasn't much of a challenge -- at least for those of us who have played again and again BG II and most of the available mods. I found it being a bit simple for my taste, a bit straight-forward, and most of all, too short. What bothers me is that the action part was bigger than the role-playing one. Being good or evil and consequently the choices you have to make is too simple and boring. There was not a *true* dilemma, in my humble opinion.

Although the game starts nicely and seems to have some potentials, those are not *trully* exploited.

In short I think I speak for us all when I say that they could of made the game longer with more interesting quests instead of,Go kill whatshisname and such things like that. Also they have what,3-4 new weapons and 2 new spells?

Yeah, you really dont get what you pay for nowdays.

I played Fable:TLC; if this is considered "short" by me, then I can't really imagine what players of the original version could possibly have thought.

Ah... I still recall when I was younger... err..hmm... I'm twenty, finished school 8 months ago!

A bit dissapointed by the bug I got (see the "stuck in hook coast *Spoiler*" Thread)... but in all, that's a great game, really fun. Too easy though... just max out some nice spell, and you're in business in Massive Mob Killing...

I might try another game, evil that time, just to kill every one... but it's only a possibility: playing evil is always easier then being good, since you don't bother with laws, guards and anything! :P
