| | | I might have an idea for a new weapon. Its a dynamite. It would be good to have those around to take care of a number of enemies. I wonder if the idea of a dynamite will suit Fable 2's setting, though because I'm not sure if it was invented during that period.

| | Vorpal would be like, a one in 8 chance for a decapatation regardless of health.
And as far as dynamite goes, you just need peanuts and some chemicals it'd be cool

And maybe it does sound a little bit illogical to introduce a weapon that doesn't exist at that time, though it would be nice ito see dynamites at that time period.

| | | explosives? it wouldnt be the same type of game to me with guns and explosives fable is suposed to be a medeival based game and it just doesnt seem right to me just imagine bandits throwing dynamite at you. anyway i think you should be able to use a harpoon to spear enemys from a long distance and then pull them to you allowing them to stab them with the sword in your other hand |

| | | I completely agree, though dual wielding would make gamers around the world crap themselves, I think that the game would go by much faster and ruin the point of spending years on making a new Fable

Guns will be widely used by then so it comes as no surprise to me that it will be featured in the game. And yes, I agree that the idea of a dynamite will not suit Fable 2's setting since it wasn't invented until the 19th century. Truth is, I'm used to getting frag grenades thrown at me when I was playing FPSes like Call of Duty 2. That's why I came up with that idea. Honestly, I think Lionhead should stick to guns and swords instead. Quote:

And for the last time, please do not jump to conclusion that guns will take away the feel of Fable. I've been saying this one too many times in different threads and I'm not going to repeat myself again. Now I know that everyone is entitled to his/her opinion but can everyone here at least reconsider the reason why Lionhead will take this direction? I'm sorry for being very harsh here but the fact that a lot of people came here to say that the idea of guns in Fable 2 will destroy the game, take away its feel, etc. etc. does irritate me at times.
My apologies to the moderator, Mr_Sir and those who post at this forum if I had offended anyone in this forum with this statement. I will re-edit my post if this is deemed offensive. Thank you.
EDIT: Please look here before posting. Thank you.

| | | what they really need what they really need to put in as a weapon is a mace. not the mace's like in the first game but a real mace, a huge spiky one on a chain that your character could swing around his head, and the faster he gets to swing it the more damage it does, kinda like charging your fireball.... oh and definately no guns |

| | i like fps games so maybe guns would be ok to an extent but but in few years if a third fable comes out and it gets any more advanced than muskets it realy will ruin the idea of fable with your hero fighting in modern day citys with an ak-47 and a rocket launcher i just dont think that sounds like a good rpg setting to me. |

Yeah, its a welcome change to see a different type of weapon once in a while aside from swords, maces and axes. This is what the weapon will look like right here according to Wikipedia. Hope its what you're referring to. Quote:

I also don't fancy Fable set in the modern era since it does sound pretty much unsuitable with automatic weapons and such but I'll leave it as such since what I'm saying going way off-topic here. I personally prefer if they end it at Fable 2. No more sequels after that.
P.S. Welcome to the forums, garbageman.

| | Think of it this way, you have one weapon, running around dealing damage and kick some ass FTW, okay? Now times that by two, divide by pi=Ax2 and it's really a simple mathematical equation when you have no idea what you're talking about.

| | I hope Fable 3, If such a thing comes to pass, would be a prequel to Fable, Like,
"the rise of Jack of Blades" And one of your buddies could be a young Guild Master!... But I digress, I hope you get a scythe.. Like not the dude, Scythe.
I mean a f'real scythe. Like all Grim reaper-ish. Or at the very least a lance. Oh, and this is sorta unlikely due to the time change, But I always wanted to get a trader's hat. Those are sweet. |

| | | yes thats it, perfect, thank you. only the one i imagined for the game would be much larger, cruder and disproportionate to the characters size. kinda like the one the king of the nazgul had in the return of the king |

| | | Weapons galore I love fable
i like the choice of armor you can get and how there is dark and bright armor for the aligements. However i'm not fond of the iron steel obsidian and master weapons i would prefer swords and daggers as the iorn grade and then moving up to great hammers and oak longbows for master.
I would like to see dual weapons in fable 2
like dual daggers and sabers and perhaps shields
that was something that the first 1 lagged
even though you did say you didn't want to hear it guns should be a big no no.
some more weapon reccomendations:
pike
dual sabers
nunchauks
recurve bow
aberlest ( fast firing crosbow )
voluge
throwing axes
dark poisonous weapons
claymores - i thought that the great sword looked a bit strange in the 1st one
throwing knives
weapon like in jeapers creapers 3 - shrunkien i think
back hand swords like prince of persia 2
double bladed staffs
i have many more weapins i can yhink of and thats just some
Mephisto

What I meant is that this is not the right thread to discuss whether you like guns or not. If you want to do so, you can do it at the Do you want guns in Fable 2? Furthermore, neither did I say that I like guns nor loathe them. What I've said is that its too early to criticise Lionhead's decision to implement guns in Fable 2. They'll surely know how to pull it off in one way or the other. I'm not going to repeat myself here since I've said this one too many times already at quite a number of threads.
