Character Customisation?

I, for one, would think it would be a good idea to choose how your character looks as a person, without armour, at the start of the game. Mabey able to upload your own face onto that of your character?

Red face

If we uploaded our own face it might look funny. xD But! I am so with the idea of character customization. Getting tattoos, haircuts, and facial hair only on the same hero ain't gonna cut it. I need a new hair color, eye color, height, weight, skin color, and all that good stuff.

Well, the PC version of Grand Theft Auto 3 allows you to upload your face unto the main character. The process to do so is kind of tricky but it looks okay once you see it in-game. I read about this from an issue of PC Gamer a long time ago, by the way (Never tried it, though...). So, yeah, basically, it's not hard to do so if Fable 2 have this feature but things like this take time.

As for character customisation, I will not be surprised if Fable 2 does have that feature. Suits a game like Fable, come to think of it.

Like someone mentioned, I would like to be able to customise your character from the beggining, but I would also like the hair to grow as you play, so you'd have to go to the Barbers. Many people would disagree but I like the idea of it - Adds more deph to the game.

Not a bad idea. In fact, I wouldn't mind at all. This idea reminds me a lot of the hunger mechanic in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas where you will need to go to a restaurant from time to time to satisfy your hunger (and to prevent degradation of your stats if you go without food for too long).

Yea i hated how you couldnt change how you looked at the start of the game...you were stuck with the same face the whole game
It would be tricky though becuase if it is gona be like fable 1 you start out as a kid and age upto 65 so the face you created as a kid might not age inot something you like as you grow up

Well I would love it. I hated how every other character i made and other people's characters looked the same but with a different hairstyle or older and younger. If you ever played oblivion I would like to custimze yourself like that, but change your hair and the growing hair is cool i guess. I also want the ageing process to go slower and if you can choose to skip your childhood and teens hood and the other one in between. lol

The customisation of the main character in Oblivion is deep, I admit, but what I really detest is the fact that when you adjust the bar in one of the options, the other bars will move automatically. That is not flexible if you ask me. I would be more than happy if the character customisation follow the customisation found in EA's sport titles and the Sims 2. The character customisation there is more flexible than that of Oblivion's.

I remember someone here ever mentioned that the ageing should occur at different parts of the story (a year later or something) and this is what I agree with. The ageing in Fable is quite illogical, in my opinion. Imagine reaching the age of 60 within a few days. Not to mention that if you age, other people around you should age too.

I agree DesRB5 they should age 2 and Im about 44 in the game and that they should age slower and everyone should age with you. and other people be spawned and actually the process in oblivion was easy once you understood it. And it really made your character look different. There was no other khajiet that looked like mine I was the most unique. I wish for hte next they use elswire that looks like a cool place and also i actually wanted slaves in oblivion for some reason lmfao. But enough of that I think it would be mroe unique if they did it sorta like oblivionl

About the barber, you do have to feed your family and see your kids and do your job so it would be kinda realistic to go to abarber since the game has been made as real as possible. I wouldn't dslike it at all, infact I'd love to make the game more deep. And if u get bored, go to a barber

i don't think uploading your picture for your face wouldn't work, yeah they did have it on gta 3 for pc but it looked choppy at best, your facial features wouldn't match the polygons the character's face is molded from since each person's face is unique in one way or another.

At least that would add some variety to the game. For Gods sakes, this is one of the only RPG games I've played where your character doesn'y even have a name.

I get pretty pissed being called "Hey Hero" the whole game

races

I think you should be able to choose a race to be in the enitre game from a list, sort of like the character generation on oblivion, that sort of thing, what do you think?

What kind of races would they offer though? You never really came across any other intelligent species other than humans, except maybe hobbes or trolls (although I don't know if I could really call them intelligent ). I do like the idea, I'm just not sure how it would fit into the Fable world.
