Question Cost?

I have been looking for a good RPG that I could sink my teeth into. This one sounds like it could be it, but I have just one question...How much will it cost?

My guess would be that the game will cost $50.
Being a online game, a monthly payment of $12.95/month to $14.95/month would be realistic.

Hmmm....

It sounds even more attractive, now. I await it's arrival with eager anticipation.

Why? It's a market conformative price.

Oh?

I'm not that familiar with online gaming. If that's a conformative price, maybe I should find out what I've been missing out on. This one is more attractive because the game and I grew up together.

Well that's true for me too.
It has that additional value because it's d&d related, hopefully it won't be skin deep. So far it's looking promesing though!

Slightly off thread...

You grew up with D&D? Perhaps you can tell me where I can find some of the supplements to the original rules. I have the three main booklets, but have been unable to locate any of the supplements. Any ideas?

Well, grew up perhaps a bit big.

But I suggest that if you have a question, you take it to the roleplaying forums. As you know, we have a d&d forum, a Forgotten Reals forum, a General RPG forum and a Eberron forum. If you ask your question there, you will get answers from more people then just me.

I found some 'new' info on the pricerange:

The game will not be free obviously: you will have to buy the game/box and in addition pay a monthly fee. The exact prices are not known yet but will likely be “competitive”. Current similar games cost the following:
one time 50 US dollars for the initial release including one "free" month of playing time
after the first month 10-15 US dollars each month depending on the number of months you subscribe for at once including (smaller) periodic expansions
20-30 US dollars for each separate released big expansions
