The cold north.

I'm planning on running a campaign in the cold north, but i don;t want a copy of IWD. Any ideas/links for good spells, monsters, etc.?

I remember at a role-playing convention several years ago, one of the adventures was an expedition through the Glacier of the White Worm (Forgotten Realms). It's not that far north, actually fairly close to Tantras and Ravens Bluff, so not too far from civilised lands. Distinguishing features: albino Remorhazes (lots of fun with those) and several warring barbarian tribes who hated magic.

How 'bout making giving all the pc's icy weapons and con bonuses? And letting them encounter frostbitten and dying dragons.
