OR, Portland: Seeking a good D&D group

I'm a 29 year old guy living in Dallas, moving to Portland 2-21-06. I'm a normal guy, well-balanced, and 16+ year lover of D&D. My work schedule is looking to be Sun-Thur days, and I'm looking for a 5-6 hour game. Here’s as much info as I can offer. I’m pretty laid back, this is just to give you an idea of whether or not I’ll be a good fit for your group.

What you can expect from me:
Non-smoker.
Punctuality and commitment to game time.
Enthusiasm and high imagination.
Positive, easy-going attitude.
Even-temper.
Good communication and people skills.
Good hygeine (no, this is not a joke, you all know what I'm talking about).
Extensive knowledge of the core rules (letter, application, and theory).
In-depth, in-character role playing, high level of preparation, and thorough character development.
A heavy appreciation for balance and fairness.
A desire to have fun.

Competencies and experience:
-I've played the original, AD&D 1st, AD&D 2nd, D&D 3rd, and D&D 3.5 editions of the D&D game. I believe the core rules work quite well in the current edition.
-I've played in four different groups, mostly of small size, but in sizes ranging from 1 to 10 players. My last group was a crack crew of old hands, geniuses and cool cats all.
-Equal proportions DM and player experience. I am semi-retired as a DM. Prep takes up too much of my time.
-Genders/Classes/races/finished levels played in current edition: Male Human Rogue 7/Wizard 11, Male Dwarven Paladin 12, Female Human Cleric 5/Monk 8, Female Human Cleric 3/Wizard 5/Mystic Theurge 10, Male Fighter 8/Conqueror (built class) 10, Female Elven Wizard 8/Air Savant 5/Fighter 1/Spellsword 1
-RPGs: Greyhawk, Planescape, FR, d20 Modern, Star Wars, Twilight 2000, Mechwarrior

What I expect from you (the group):
Ages 23-35, late twenties preferably.
Most of what you may expect from me (see above). I hold others to many of the same standards.
No smoking at the table.
For the sake of the gods no kids in the house.
Separation of game and sleep.
Non-adversarial DM-player relationship.
Game balance and fairness.
Respect for the rules of the game. Knowledge of the rules. Patience to look up a rule that is in question. Willingness to accept a rules challenge civilly.
No house rules beyond an approved critical hit/fumble table (I have my own to offer, which might be of interest to you), or vitality/wound points (without the crit to wound points).
No dice fudging.
No cheating.
Focus on fun for the players.
An even balance of role-playing and combat.
Focus on story and character development.
Consistency of setting (Example: If your campaign is traditional high fantasy D&D, please include high magic elements such as, well, magic)
Steady advancement rate averaging about 1 level per three sessions. XP recognition for accomplishments and contributions.
*A minimum average of one 'encounter' per session.

Flexibilities
I can play a lot of different kinds of games and settings.
Character race and gender are flexible.
I can pick up and drop characters at a moment’s notice (although I do prefer to play characters for a good period of time, no more than a year of real time).

Good luck with that Finding a group is one thing and finding a GOOD group is another. Here in WV it is becoming impossible to put together a good, reliable group. With work schedules and all. You may want to put no drinking (alcohol) at the table. I drink but I find that drinking whilst playing can detract from the pleasure of gaming. You should have better chances in Oregon than I do here in West Virginia...
