Post NWN

I was thinking of a character for NWN that is based on 3rd edition.

A dwarf barbarian who duels to fighter at level 5 and then duals again to cleric at level 13 (14) whichever gives that extra attack per round of the 2 levels.

Can anyone see any problem with this? i am not familiar with the rules of 3rd edition. What are the penalties for dualclassing. Barbarian i wanted to be mostly due to the extra movement, dwarves are slow. And rage is nice too. Cleric is the final class, as i love clerics.

But i hear there is an exp penalty for dualling, is this a mayor factor? And am i right when i say that you get a half extyrea attack at level 14?

Well in NWN you don't dualclass you "multiclass".

Basically this means that when you gain a level, you decide if you want to add another class to your character or add a level to any of your classes. (adding a class = increasing your character a level)

But there is some restrictions.
Futhermore there is some XP' penalties (I don't have excact numbers) if your class' exceed eachother with more that one level unless a multiclass is a "favored multiclass" (race-determined)
This means a lvl. 11 wizard/lvl. 3 figher will have some penalties on his/her XP (unless he has wizard as favored multiclass) but a lvl. 6 rogue/lvl. 7 figher will not.

Futhermore in NwN you can "only" have 3 class'.

Hope this helps a bit.

(Also look in the NwN forum, there is properly some posts there to help you)
