Char gen lvl 14

Ok, so my DM murded me last night and i need to reroll a new char. We run a high powered game (32 point assign NWN rules) and starting chars get the level amount in gold to spend.

We are without a decent spell caster (already have Cleric, Monk, Hexblade, Rogue/Assasin) they are all at level 14 with decent equipment.

I was thinking of running a Spellscale, Sorcerer5 Fiend-Blooded 9.

Any comments and suggestions would be a great help.

(p.s. i was killed in a EL 19 fight, which other than my death we won. Our games are usually difficult due to both the mobs we fight and the environment.
eg fire-elemental halflings in a lava cavern with blood Ooze. The lava healing the halflings and the ooze maximizing the fire spells damage, we had 1hour real-time limit as well)

Wow, harsh fight.

If I read the situation right, you need a maximised damage output, right?

Hiya,

As to damage "yes" need a few big bangs but the trouble is in the same game as the halflings we also had to fight 2:1 against some undead archers and fighters.
Not to bad you may think! two problems,

They had class levels.

They were in an anti-magic field at the time.

The games we play mean that each chars need to be some what balanced.
Any char that min/max'ed usually dies pretty quick as it cant cope with a new twist.

I now know that the first mission that my new char will go on will be to infiltrate a gnomish stronghold to deliver a bio-agent that will cause them to evolve to the next stage of thier developement.

So as a group we need to be stealthy (ish), deal with traps , and then the various soldier npc's, (we are also missing the cleric) so it is going to be Me, the Rogue/Assasin, the Monk and the Hexblade.

Cheers
