Windstone Fortress Problem... pls help

hi guys, im now at the Windstone Fortress... as u can see, i have followed the walk through instructions... "http://www.gamebanshee.com/dungeonsiegeii/walkthrough/windstonefortress.php"
if u click on the walk through link above, u will see the whole map with numbers, i got the entrance and fought monsters flawlessly, when i reached the first door, #1 on the map, i saw a soldier and talked to him, he is Private Banos. so i took him with me. then i got in to room #2 and killed the mimic. now the problem arises... after room #2 i went straight up to room #3, but i cant seem to go any further, its all black and my character cant move or get in... whats going on??? pls help... is this a glitch?? i have updated my game from 2.1 to 2.2 but still no avail... im still stuck... i love the game by the way, so i hope someone can help me out here or else i have to dump this game and look for another one... thanks guys...

I've seen a couple people report this problem (do a search on "black door" to see the threads yourself), but I've never seen a solution. The only time anything like this happened to me, I just exited the game and when I fought my way back to the spot everything was fine.

what??? u mean to say that i have to do the game over again??? from level one??? or shall i just restart the game and put it back in and storm back and kill every thing again??? cause i have tried that already... but still to no avail...

No, what he is saying is exit from the game and then re-load your last save (continue) and then start from the nearest teleporter and go back to the "black hole" in windstone fortress.

What Version are you running (2.0, 2.2, 2.3)?

I sometimes experience the Black Hole effect when exiting caves, buildings, etc. as the character that I control is typically towards the back of the formation. All I do is switch to the character to the front and I am all of a sudden on the outside.
