Question Triggering Quests

Hi I would like to know how to trigger a quest? As I'm continuing my primary quest I also look for secondary quest, but nothing helps me to look for the secondary quest. Thanks for any help.

Ones you can trigger by yourself usually have a big orange question mark over the plot character's head. Other's need triggered by having a certain NPC's in your party.

My advice; Talk to everyone and attempt to open all doors. The system will say things like "You can't use this. Perhaps XXXX could." Where XXXX is the NPC you need in your party to trigger the quest.

If you want a breakdown of each quest one-by-one, hit here

Which is this site's Walkthrough area.

triggering quest

Thanks for the info. But I mean is, when I talk to a person I get the quest, then I talk to another person and get his quest and etc. So if I'm in a particular area and there is two or three quest in this area. I would like to trigger the closest one to me. I'm I making any sense????

When you talk to a person and get their quest, that's triggering the quest, so I'm not sure what you're looking for. Are you hoping for an arrow that will point out where the quest is? Or do you want to know where the closest quest is? Or...? Maybe if you use different words to describe what you want, it will make more sense.

Hi,

example; Primary quest: Restoring Water, . Secondary quest:Mythrilhorn or Leiani's sorrow, The lost Jewels of Saoranith, etc., etc.. And yes, I'm looking for the Arrow or the Star. Thanks again for your help...

The Arrow on the maps only points to the next stage of the Primary quest, and only in a general map direction (ie, East, West, North, etc). This can be misleading at times as the map can turn back on itself.

Gold Stars are the Primary quest stages.

Silver Stars are the Secondary quests that you have already started (talked to whatever NPC). There is no arrow, and no way to "point" to them. Most are fairly straight-forward, however. If you get stuck, you can always go to the walkthrough link I posted above. If you're just looking for a way to get to them faster...all I can offer there is to either read all the walkthroughs, or just play the game. Knowing where everything is comes with experience.

My guess is some quests, like "Lieni's Sorrow" or "Spirits of Aranna" are simply to get people to search the world and see all that was created. The game is very nice, but the views are spectacular and most people seem to gloss over this. More than likely due to the repetitive nature of the game once you beat it once in Merc mode
