Screen Flickers when I move the mouse

Hi all,

I know this is a known issue with DS2 and thought I had it cracked, when I first installed DS2 about a week ago, spent half the afternoon trying to stop the red flickering on the menu screen, and the screen flickering in game by installing latest graphics drivers and game updates. I left my pc on for the last week so I haven't had to reload the game after finally getting it to work. Restarted my PC last night and this morning I've got the damn flickering back and I'm not sure what I can do this time to get rid of it since all the updates are already installed. I'm running Nvidia 7600 GS (SLI Mode Enabled) using 93.71_forceware_winxp2k_english_whql driver, I even tried setting the graphics settins to DS2 in Nvidia Control Panel. If I remember, I had a similar problem in DS1 where the mouse wouldn't flicker the screen but instead just disappeared about a third of the way down the screen and installing updated drivers corrected that. What really has me stumped, is that it worked for the last week, now all of a sudden the problem is back, any help or advise is much appreciated.

I had exactly the same problem.

I took a guess based on some vague understanding of graphics card tech and disabled sli on my graphics setup (nvidia 7950 gx2, two graphics cards glued together).

that worked a treat.

so, until they actually fix the damn game, it sounds like you'll need to disable the sli and only run with one card.

I was lucky in that the nvidia control panel lets me switch it on and off without even restarting windows, let alone any bios or hardware shenanigans... so try that first on your setup.

91.47 driver

I spent about 8 hours trying to fix this yesterday. Installing no end of graphics drivers and changing setting within nVidia control panel. Finally found these when searching for game flickering in general with GX2 cards, rather than just DS2.

Hope this works for you.
