Major problem with a file

i've tried reinstalling the game about 4 times, tryed patching, basically it comes up with an error message when I try to open the game about this file, also tryed anything I can think of, but i have a problem with a file called Objects.ds2res, and i've phoned microsoft, they said there is nothing they can do about it or not doing anything about it, its the original copy, no NOCD thing, and no patches or mods, here is my Objects.ds2res file size - Objects.ds2res 233,216kb (227 MB (238,813,184 bytes)), thats what it says on the file anyway, if anyone has any suggestions other than buying it again,
