!help me bad probelm

well i started playing ds2 again and i got a good knight lvl 40 i got the last piece of the shiel but it dosent register that i got through the mines the gold star is still at the place where the movie kicks in for the rail cart in the katyaria mines spelling. ive killed the mages and stuff but idk what to do the lord in the city is dying on the bed but still gives me directions to the mines he dosent know that i have all the pieces but idk so any ofu guys can help all help is welcome ty

Are you sue you have done everything in the Mines of Kaderak? Sometimes the game doesn't register that you have completed a quest until you walk back to where the golden star is flashing. If this doesn't work, then go talk to Lord Kalrathia...even if he keeps giving directions to the mines, go talk to Advisor Kynos in the main hall after this. The next part of the game MAY start now, as Kynos MAY say that Lord Kalrathia is ill.
