Help DS2 wont work

When i try to start up dungeon siege 2 it gets to the loading screen with the small white dots in the bottom left hand corner. Thats as far as it gets, it freezes there and doesnt do naything and neither can i so i have to reboot my comp. Ive tried reinstalling it defraging my comp updating all my drivers and still nothing. what to do?

This could have many reasons... - i guess your graphic card driver is up to date!?

Related on the game itself maybe the video driver files can't be loaded (resp. a wrong version) or there is a problem with any securtiy software you have installed.
==> Binkw32.dll | Gas Powered Garage
==> Fullscreen/dots | Gas Powered Garage

i found one guy with the same problem. it told him to options to do rename ya ini file so it creates another one. did that still dont work and the other was to make ds2 run in a window to see if any popups appear so again i did that but still no luck

had to say and ive tried every thing on them but i still have no luck getting it to work. im starting too be quite pissed off with the game now. so any help i would apreechate lots.

Perhaps any savegame is broken or further inizialization/configuration files are damaged anyhow...
So try once to remove your hole savegame folder. Well don't delete it, just give another name.
So from: "My Documents/My Games/Dungeon Siege 2/"
eg. into: "My Documents/My Games/Dungeon Siege 2 Old/"

This will force DS2 to create the right/original folder itself, also it will create all required configration files. Supposed DS2 will work again like this, try start DS2 again after moving just your savegame form the old folder into the new one.

I hope that will be successful, if not ...well, ah... re-install the game!?

i think it was the save games that were corrupt some how but any who it works now. thanks for your help killer
